Oh Rob......Happy Birthday!
I remember him most from the Dick Van Dyke Show with Mary Tyler Moore in the early ‘60s. Very funny sitcom.
That is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
He was the lead character in the Carl Reiner film ‘The Comic’. Well worth watching. A bittersweet look at an aging silent film star, Van Dyke is great, probably his best film.
Happy Birthday, Dick! Keep on rollin’..
I still think The Dick Van Dyke Show was one of TV’s best. Even the kid was great. Almost every episode is about marriage. Anyone too young to see the show should watch it on Amazon or Netflix.
Happy Birthday Dick/Rob
He was an old guy when I was watching as a 5 year old. Now I am retired and gray and he is still going strong and you never see him without that smile.
It just have been all the toot sweets.
Just a spoonful of sugar to help his medicines go down.
Based on his age, I thought Van Dyke might be a WW II veteran.
And so he was.

Isn’t he a major progressive lefty?
Bob Barker just said, “Hold my scotch junior, and don’t forget to fix your dog and cat!”
F-U “dick”
Dick Van Dyke endorses (Bernie) Sanders, calls for support from older voters
Political affiliation
Van Dyke endorsed Bernie Sanders in the 2016 Democratic Party presidential primaries. In July 2016, while campaigning for Sanders, Van Dyke said of Donald Trump, "I haven't been this scared since the Cuban Missile Crisis. I think the human race is hanging in a delicate balance right now, and I'm just so afraid he will put us in a war. He scares me."
Van Dyke again endorsed and campaigned for Sanders in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries.
I think he can be forgiven for his 2016 vote, being surrounded by the entertainment industry, but after seeing what Trump did for the country he still voted for Bernie in 2020. Nope.

I saw him play the lead role in “The Music Man” in Hollywood on New Year’s Eve, 1980. He did an excellent job even though he had a cold.
He made the family fortune with his show about 50s/early 60s family life.
His grandkids cowrote Olivia Wilde’s movie “Don’t Worry Darling”, which slams the way of life the family fortune was based on.
Not a very good movie.
My wife used to watch a doctor show he used as a vehicle for one of his sons, I found the story lines extremely left and his character pontification juvenile.
Happy Birthday. We should all live a long life.
