Stuart Margolin, best known for his Emmy Award-winning portrayal of Evelyn “Angel” Martin on The Rockford Files, has died. He was 82.
The actor’s passing was announced on social media earlier today by his stepson, actor Max Martini, who paid tribute to Margolin with an emotional Instagram post.

I think he played the radio operator talking to the artillery commander in Kelly’s Hero’s. Then giving the handset to Big Joe at your he beginning of the movie.

In addition to all the roles noted here, Margolin was also a great songwriter / musician who was the partner of Jerry Riopelle of the band of the same name which was a regional favorite in Phoenix and Los Angeles.
