ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — An Orlando man was arrested this past Wednesday after being connected to a pair of robberies, according to police.

NBC affiliate WESH reported that Orlando police first began their investigation when a TD Bank was robbed by a man wearing a hat that said “police” and a pair of sunglasses.

Detectives said the teller told them the robber handed the teller a note with the words “assault” and ” money” on it before running off after getting the cash.

Two days later, a Circle K was robbed. This time, a store clerk was handed a note that said “Give me all the money and a pack of 305’s 100’s please,” according to police.

Just like before, the suspect in this case was wearing a police hat and

When officers responded to the scene, they found the suspect, 45-year-old Nicolas Zapater-Lamadrid, in front of the store. Orlando police said the man still had the stolen cigarettes and money on him.

Detectives said when they arrested the suspect, he confessed to the robbery and said he committed the crime because he was “bored.”

45 years old, and doing some silly sh*t like this, something that could have gotten him shot to death?
This guy has problems. Maybe a Mid Life Crisis.
Other guys may deal with middle age by starting a new business, purchasing a little Red Corvette, or trying to hook up with a much younger woman.

Most people who are bored find a puzzle to put together or a book to read. Some even sort their sock drawer. Robbing Circle K certainly adds a little spice to life I guess.

BTW, when we are traveling in south Georgia and Florida, we always have our Circle K coffee mugs in the RV. Those stores always have coffee brewing and it is actually pretty good. Ninety-nine cents for a refill if you have the store’s travel mug is a pretty good deal.

He would have done better to follow Barney Fife’s routine, “go downtown, get a pop and head over to Thelma Lou’s to watch TV”. Still, cute story and this Florida Man gets a “B”. With one more twist he might have gotten an A-.

Maybe not a good idea as I’ve heard jail can be very boring except when it’s really bad, kind of like war.

Cousin Eddie?

That's us, LOL! When the RV is parked at home, we have an extension cord plugging it in to "shore" power. One day we pulled out and forgot to unplug. Thus, once we headed up the driveway and got to the max of the cord's length, it unplugged (fortunately a clean separation and therefore doing no damage) and we drove fifteen miles to our first destination with the cord flapping along trailing after us. My immediate thought was Cousin Eddie and Christmas Vacation.

Bored? He could have taken up a hobby.

305s? If you are going to steal a pack of cigarettes, why not go for Marlboro or L&M...?

I mean you will be in jail, so get the best...

I’m (was) partial to Lucky Strikes but I don’t think they make non-filter Luckies any more.

Quit 7 years ago anyways.

Don’t miss it very often, maybe twice a year out of the blue I REALLY want one.

Then I take a deeeep breath and think how nice that is, lol.
