A similar incident occurred in November, when a cat was discovered in a checked bag at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The passenger in this incident, however, claimed he had no idea the animal was in his bag and was forced to rebook his flight for the following day. I can believe it.
George T Cat was notorious for trying to hide in my luggage and almost got away with it a couple of times.
As my company would NOT have been pleased if I missed my flight I learned to check my carryon bag most carefully.

Almost happened to me. When I picked up my handcarry on my way to the airport, I noticed it was suprisinly heavy. Yep, inside I found Joe, the tabby cat.
