Idaho police have addressed a potential "stalker" involving one of the victims in last month's murder of four University of Idaho roommates.
The Moscow Police Department said Monday that two males were spotted inside a local business in mid-October, and the two of them parted ways while one proceeded to follow Kaylee Goncalves, one of the victims of the future murder, inside the business. The male suspect also followed her as she exited the building and walked toward her car, though it does not appear he made any contact with her during this, police said in a press release.
"Detectives contacted both males and learned the two were attempting to meet women at the business, [and] this was corroborated through additional investigation," the police statement said. "Based on available information, detectives believe this was an isolated incident and not an ongoing pattern of stalking. No evidence suggests the two males were involved in the murders."
Investigators have not identified a suspect in the murders.
The four roommates who were killed on the evening of Nov. 13 include Goncalves, 21, Ethan Chapin, 20, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Madison Mogen, 21. All four were stabbed in the chest and upper body with a large knife while they were in bed, according to local authorities.
Steven Goncalves, the father of Kaylee Goncalves, noted on Sunday that the murderer's entry point on the middle floor and only going upstairs leads him to believe it may have been intentional.
"I'm not a professional, so I want to specify that, but they've said the entry point was the slider or the window," Goncalves said on Fox News's Fox and Friends on Sunday. "It was the middle floor. So to me, he doesn't have to go upstairs. His entry and exit are available without having to go upstairs or downstairs. Looks like he probably may have not gone downstairs. We don't know that for sure, but he obviously went upstairs. So I'm using logic that he chose to go up there when he didn't have to."
Police are currently going through over 2,645 emailed tips, 2,770 phone tips, and 1,084 digital media submissions to find answers in this investigation. Anyone with potential information or tips for this murder can submit them by calling 208-883-7180, emailing tipline@ci.moscow.id.us, or submitting a digital media submission.
"Your information, whether you believe it is significant or not, might be one of the puzzle pieces that help solve these murders," the Moscow Police Department said.
Call me crazy, but that doesn’t sound like a stalker.
Apparently the police don’t think so, either.................
By definition, isn’t an isolated incident not a stalker?
Don’t stalkers make contact?
Guys aren’t going to be able to ever get a date soon.
“What’s the problem ma’am?”
“That man tried to start a discussion with me.”
“That’s 15-20 for that scum...”
A massive exaggeration of course, but you get the concept.
And yet, he keeps running his mouth. Let the pros do their jobs. This is not a TV show where things are wrapped up in a nice, little bow in an hour.
Can anyone explain to me what this is supposed to mean?

Every law enforcement agency involved in this case needs to keep their information to themselves until the case is solved.
Contrary to public demand, the public does not need to be kept informed of every step in this investigation.
I would still like to know what happened to the dumpster and if they have searched it for evidence.
Ity mighht mean that the murderer(s) had been to the house before and knew their intended female victims were in upsairs bedrooms so after gaining entry the devils went upstairs.
“Masher!”
I had to look it up. I’m really out of the loop.
And...now I want mashed potatoes with garlic and butter.
“...that the murderer’s entry point on the middle floor and only going upstairs leads him to believe it may have been intentional...”
Actually, wherever he entered and went was intentional...Sherlock.
AGREE! All we need to know is when the killer or killers are deceased in the most terrible way possible.
You and everyone else don't need to know anything until the case is closed.
After how many week a clue for the clueless?
Moscow Idaho is a small town, 25000 people counting students. Somebody knows something.
"a man who makes advances, esp. to women he does not know, with a view to physical intimacy."
It’s old?
It’s so old I thought it was new...
I thought it was just called a man with stones.
Hmmmmm…..
They were killed with a knife.
Hmmmm…..
It has been reported Kaylee and Maddie phoned a man named Jack many times just before 3 am. The police have indicated they believe the knife wielding killer attacked between 3 and 4 am. If that timeline is correct the two girls were awake when the killer struck. Did they hear the killer? Is fear what drove the many calls to Jack?
I commend Kaylee’s Dad for speaking out and asking questions. A monster is loose and he or they must be caught.
