I have been hearing more and more on this .... enough that I am super concerned about my own food security. I am seeking out local farm sources and stocking up.
This morning, on the truck radio (the only time I listen to radio is in the truck going somewhere), Glenn Beck had a good interview with a woman also concerned about this subject. It's getting very scary.
Stock up, prepare. Develop local sources of food. If the trains stop running or the diesel trucks are out of diesel, the grocery store shelves will EMPTY quickly & all heck is going to break loose ... people in this country, for the most part, are accustomed to abundant food (even if it is junk calories). Those with no resources for food other than grocery stores are going to be desperate.

If our Lords of Chaos want to reduce the use of artificial fertilizers why not encourage the use of natural fertilizers.
Cattle and chicken farmers have to invest huge in capture systems to control manure and prevent run off in to streams.
It would be great for these farmers to get tax incentives to make it profitable to sell their manure to other farmers.
Typically farmers spread manure on their own fields and sell some part of it and pay dispose of much of it.
