On a clear August morning in southeastern Pennsylvania, more than a dozen adults and children stood in a park pavilion, listening to mealworms sizzling in a hot pan. They were learning about entomophagy — the human consumption of insects — from Lisa Sanchez, a naturalist with the Lancaster County Department of Parks and Recreation, who has taught the practice for 25 years.
Suddenly, one mealworm sputtered out of the pan. Six-year-old Adaline Welk — without prompting — popped it into her mouth. The crowd cheered for the newly minted entomophagist. “It’s not that bad!” she exclaimed. “It kind of tastes like kettle corn!”

Pedophilia and insect eating. Next on the docket by the mainstream media, big tech and education to normalize.
I don't get all the fuss being made over eating grasshoppers and such. I would eat them, not necessarily as a preference but I wouldn't turn them up if I was hungry and they were they only things around.
Consider that common seafood such as lobsters, crabs and shrimp are basically the insects of the sea.
“WaPo is a sick publication”
Relax... they’re obviously
1) eating insects, or
2) lying about it
besides insects might clash with their nonfat. No foam grande green tea latte, one pump matcha... so I’ll pick number 2.
What could be more eco-friendly than cannibalism...and since WaPo(and the rest of the MSM)are a bunch of cockroaches...do right by your global masters, and...
Yup. The EU restrictions on using fertilizers on German and Dutch farms is the beginning of the full implementation of the “Green Agenda” to eliminate traditional animal and crop farming in Europe and throughout the world. That’s why we’ve seen this push in the last few years to start eating insects as a main source of protein.
No, thank you! What I would like to see are these freaks serving these at their home, maybe the Washington post can put them in the break room, see if anybody eats them?
Think I’ll start a new restaurant fast food slop joint chain...Call it, Insect King. Or maybe Tick&Termite Tacos.
And if we run out of cows, chickens, and pigs, there will still be plenty of leftists we can throw on the barbeque. Maybe when we run out of them I’ll eat some grubs...

“Unless this article is about surviving in the wild, I’ll pass.”
The Cody Lundin shtick is to contemplatively taste and chew the bug, after which he utters, “hmm, tastes like chicken”
50 years ago, newspapers were telling us we’d be eating algae by now. Some websites are still saying that it’s the food of the future. Bugs would be a step up, if we are lucky.
If we ground up radical lefties, they would make a protein additive. Also pig food.
Yep!. And this:
I have chickens who eat bugs and it would be cruel to snatch food from their little beaks.
What kind of monster does things like that?
I just noticed in the headline, the dreaded word “salt”, isn’t that taboo to the left.
I remember there was an effort (Government funded of course!) to develop algae-based fuels!
I’ve said the same thing.
They won’t even tell us they’re going to do this. They’ll just quietly do it.
They’ll start with the cheap, processed food. One day you’ll be eating a Hot Pocket when you’ll take the time to read the fine print on the ingredients label and that’s when you’ll see it. “Organic protein” aka bugs.
You first, Carolyn.
While they’re still “wiggly.”
