Fatal Attraction is to get a ‘woke’ makeover – told from the bunny boiler’s point of view.
The reboot of the gripping tale of an unfaithful husband and his vengeful lover that shocked audiences 35 years ago may not even feature the grisly demise of a pet rabbit.
The 1987 movie starred Glenn Close and Michael Douglas as the ill-fated lovers, obsessive Alex Forrest and New York lawyer Dan Gallagher, played in the TV remake by Lizzy Caplan and Joshua Jackson.

WTF? They were not "lovers". They had a mutual weekend fling where both sides at the beginning knew where they stood. The Michael Douglas character did not hide his marital status. The screenwriters broke the plot of the movie by hammering the square peg "#MeToo" into the round hole.
They do this all the time. The Wokeratti have NO ORIGINAL IDEAS. Not one. All they do is take good older stories and try to spin them according to their twisted Woke religion.
Audiences duly ignore them.
You would think some adult would eventually get put in charge at some of these film companies who would tell them “No. I am NOT going to waste money on this crap that nobody will watch.” It hasn’t happened yet though. So Disney and other studios continue to lose pile after pile of cash churning out this crap nobody wants to watch.
I’m starting to wonder if Hollyweird exists just to launder money these days.
at least its still a man/woman story not 2 queers named Alex and Dan.
aannd they’d better leave the golden retriever alone.
This remake might be closer to the original storyline Glenn Close has talked about. She said her character was supposed to be an obsessed woman who’s a danger to herself. Originally, she was supposed to kill herself and frame him. When she was called back to redo the ending, she argued against it, but obviously she went along with the redo.
IMHO, the movie ending was perfect because the one solid, good person (the devoted wife) saves the day - after her sneaky husband put their family in danger by fooling around with a woman who turned out to be seriously disturbed.
Adding to my post above...
Here’s the original ending Glenn Close talked about:

It’s not bad, but not as dramatic.
That’s may be more interesting to watch
Producers must sit around a big desk in Hollywood saying: “Okay, what can we ruin next and lose millions doing it?”
I also remember it was reported that in the theaters, the men were yelling "Get the b**ch!" during the scene where Bunny Boiler gets killed.
I'm glad they didn't do the original storyline. It would have been a ripoff of the film "Leave Her to Heaven." In that movie, it's the wife who is cray-cray and ends up taking arsenic after writing to the man she turned down (Vincent Price, who now just happens to be the DA) that she is terrified her husband is going to poison her so he can marry someone else.
“This remake will be ignored, Dan.”
PLAY MISTY FOR ME.
As much as I loathe Hollywood as an ‘industry’ and as much as I was scared silly by this movie, if you’ve been paying attention, there’s really been ‘nothing new under the sun’ since Shakespeare.
And even ‘The Bard’ stole ideas from other writers before him!
Another oldie but goodie murder mystery was Harrison Ford in ‘Presumed Innocent.’
But, the book was MUCH better. (Author, Scott Turow)
Hollywood has been remaking movies forever. Many of the movies I watched when I was young were remakes, though I didn’t know until later that they were.
I just looked up “Leave It to Heaven” and found a TV movie I watched in the 1980’s. It’s supposed to be an adaptation of the same story, but with a different name (”Too Good to Be True”): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0KmWTn5OeQ
I hope they make it gay. I hope the finished product is gayer than Pete Buttigieg and Volodymyr Zelenskyy slap-fighting on top of a pallet of $3 bills.
I hope that eventually it will make it to a streaming service and be tagged with “LGBT”, and the tears of outrage will flow like they did when Netflix released the Dahmer show a couple of months back.
By all means, make it gay.
no thanks- not gonna watch Dan/Alex as 2 men, period!!
“Joshua Jackson”
Pacey needs a gig.
