Scientists believe that they have discovered a key clue in the mysterious death of aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart — who famously went missing during her ill-fated flight around the globe in 1937.
A team of researchers at Penn State’s Radiation Science and Engineering Centre (RSEC) discovered never-before-seen letters on a metal plate that washed ashore the remote island of Nikumaroro and recovered in 1991.
One well-publicized theory about her disappearance is that she died a castaway after landing her plane on the remote coral atoll in the western Pacific Ocean.

I don’t get it. What do the letters mean?
How this is a key clue is not evident from the article, to say the least. It seems more an excuse to justify running tests and keeping journalists(?) employed. No connection is made between the letters and numbers read and anything to do with the plane involved.
The riveting used is noted to specifically not match what was used for her plane, so they are forced to hypothesize a repair that used alternate riveting.
This aluminum panel was found back in 1991, TIGHAR has said for years that they thought it was most likely a part of her airplane. I believe this is the most likely theory of what happened to Amelia and her navigator Fred Noonan, that they landed on that island and later perished. The theory made sense, they were lost and Noonan would of headed south where lots of small islands were and they landed or crash landed because they were low on fuel.

I wish they would look as deeply into the election fraud over the past decades, the political graft of the politicians, and the theft of our nation’s money by the deep state, Ukraine, China, and others, as they have looked for a woman pilot who crashed her plane into the ocean decades ago. Hey! I know. They could look at FTX’s finances and find out where all that money went. Now that would be revealing and something I would be interesting in knowing.
Poor Amelia, they can’t accept that she was abducted by the Pleiadians.

Numbers could be production numbers or location on the plane, I wonder of there are plans still around for the lockeed Electra
She might have had a chance to survive if she had spent the money to go to the movie with Tom Hanks and the volley ball named Wilson...
But honestly, so many things are floating on the water in oceans. It could belong to a number of missing vessels or other debris.
I mean there is even speculation that there are:

That was my first thought.
I saw a documentary in which they showed a picture of what appeared to be her plane on a Japanese warship, and another shot of what appeared to be her sitting on the edge of a dock, in Japanese custody.
I don’t know if we’ll ever know for sure what really happened…
