23-25 almonds are close to an ounce.

Covering a 3 X 3 inch sticky note sheet requires 25 almonds.

Being a type 2 diabetic, I can vouch for almonds as being a good staple
food for blood sugar control. Them and oatmeal -
old-fashioned rolled oats - not the sugary instant crap.

In the past I have gone a few days just eating those two items -
with no ill-affects and stable blood sugar readings.

I love almonds. I also love cashews but I know almonds are much healthier so I try to stick with them. But I slip.

I know that they are a very good alternative to junk food.

I guess most nuts are.

But boy, do they ever mess with the stomach.
