In the 70's we viewed the press by large to be cool because they asked the good questions and did investigations into matters of our government's conduct.
Today we detest them because they are employed by the same government to hide and derail investigations and bury the government's conduct.
The really worrisome part is that the flip has gone largely unrecognized by the public.
