ouch
sorry....burns are painful....remembering back to my ironing days...
Had to fight a diesel fire on one of our vehicles once, the driver had hit driven the pig to the side of the road, hit the brake and leaped out with his cammie pants on fire, forgot to kill the engine. So diesel kept pumping into the engine compartment to feed the fire. Someone threw on his Nomex gloves and managed to reach under the hatch coaming to hit the Halon system while another Marine suppressed the flames with a CO2 extinguisher, and even the Halon didn’t stop it. I think we went through 4 CO2 bottles killing that fire. Very unpleasant.
It’s funny, I never cared for Jay when he was a television host but he’s carried himself so well since and love his car show. Looks like he was extremely lucky judging by the photo.
Leno was the last late-night comedian I could stomach. After him, it became a woke-leftist snowflake wasteland.
Goofy looking bastard, can’t tell anything was done.
Speaking in the car vernacular, that won’t be buffing out. Sounds like he was lucky it wasn’t any worse than it was.
I hope he’ll be fine. He seems a good person.
What burn marks?
His hair does not seem to be affected at all.
Much to do about nothing.
Looks like he is ready to head back into the garage....
I was in his studio audience twice in the 2000s.
Never watched his term on the tonite show very much but liked him more than Letterman. (have zero ABC/CBS/NBC “late nite” show experience boyond that period). Later liked Leno in his role on the Tim Allen show, Last Man Standing, as well As on Jay’s own car show.
An auto repair shop next to where I work burned the same way a few weeks ago. Mechanic was changing a leaky fuel pump and a spark ignited the fuel. The mechanic also suffered severe burns, but recovered. They lost half the shop, which was pieced together with two buildings. Hope Jay continues to improve. One of the good guys.
If anyone can pass along a note to Jay’s doctor’s...
ReCell. Miraculous burn treatment
I’m going to display my ignorance here: A gasoline fire while working on a steam engine?
Okay, fire away.
Thank heavens his hair is intact!
He was working on the clogged fuel line of a steam powered auto (a White). Those are pressurized to atomize the fuel at a burner to heat the water. A leak sprayed the fuel on him and a spark ignited it.
