I just had a thought while reading about the shooting in Colorado.
Where are the conservatives? As the years go by, we - fellow conservatives and Freepers - watch as liberals, progressives, socialists, and statists take over American institutions. School board, teachers inside the schools, AG's throughout the states, social media sites, orgranizations such as Ford Foundation, Nobel committees, inside sports organizations, inside big businesses, and so on.
As these anti-American/Constitutional forces move in, where are the conservatives? Where do they go? What organizations do they belong to and/or control? Even on FR, you have voices that sound more anti-American/Constitutional than pro.
What are your thoughts?
Spot on post. I agree wholeheartedly.
Well, IMO, it all started with NAFTA...
What conservatives get elected?
The left loves despair, because it shows a lack of faith.
You're also shunning the guys and gals having sex out of wedlock, right? They're in that same boat with the gays... Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery cuts both ways.
You’re choosing between them and God.
Actually, it started back in the 1880’s as the Progressives started infiltrating their way into American life.
Correct and I think better news to come out of AZ soon.
🙏
Progressives want power. Conservatives just want to be left alone.
Republican Representatives are saying “I wish we had a Pelosi,” but nobody wants to be that power-hungry, autocratic, ruthless, and conniving.
Executives care about the bottom line. They listen to the HR people and the PR people, and if PC people protest they try to appease them. They also listen to the their wives and college age children, and you know where that leads.
Democrats want power. They are focused on getting it and united over what to do when they get it. Some Republicans want power, and some are filled with missionary zeal (often to do things that are no longer possible and not compatible with what others on the right want). But most Republicans want to be left alone or want to be liked.
My good FRiend, the ineluctable conclusion of your theology is the only political coalition permissible, from a moral perspective, is with those who are in a state of grace, i.e. Not living in a state of mortal sin. Thus any non-Christian, divorcées, unmarried folks having sex, liars (meaning parents promoting Santa and the Easter Bunny), covetous folks, and the like, are not welcome.
Following yourtheology, you'd have to exclude the unrepentant single folks and liars etc and have about 3 people at your Thanksgiving dinner. We are ALL sinners who have fallen.
Following God's laws, we can commingle with the wretches, evangelize, and bear witness. We can work along side of them and build coalitions, without sanctioning their sin. It's tough, but it can be done.
You've made it clear whose theology you wish to follow. We are at an impasse. Be well.
Where?
Well, one ALWAYS get more of what you subsidize.
bingo
You have exposed the root of the problems we face.
America needs to REPENT!!!
Isn't over 63,000,000 silenced voices ENOUGH by now?
There IS no ‘different’.
Everything old is new again.
Be prepared for the coming ‘Babylonian’ enslavement once more
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.”
I have no idea what you meant by that remark. Are you saying people cannot be converted from atheism or secular Christianity?
