IOW - they don’t know.
“If people would just die, there would be no need to make this determination” - AMA/CDC
But, what about monkeypox?
Both my nephews have RSV(the 2 yr old and now 7 yr old) the yr old got a slight pneumonia, 103 fever and double ear infection, he’s on meds now and is making a speedy recovery..his 7 yr old brother was diagnosed with it last night, went to urgent care, coughing like crazy, horrible dry cough, no fever but his chest and back are broken from coughing so much..rona was NOTHING compared to RSV, they both had rona twice and barely had any symptoms but this, this was 20 times worse
Doesn’t matter for the average person.
If age less than 65 and no significant comorbidity then not worth taking Tamiflu for the flu or Paxlovid for Covid.
Symptomatic care works just as well for most.
The “health care provider” is as clueless as the gubmint “experts”. We so need a cleaning of house in Washington city.
My general approach, if I feel unwell, is the stay home and eat chicken soup until I either feel better or I feel worse.
If I feel worse — if I feel like breaking is difficult, or if I really feel like I might die — then I go to the doctor or emergency room.
I don’t waste a whole lot of time ever wondering: Do I have this? Do I have that? Maybe it’s this other thing ...
Modern Medicine has become some sort of mania for people. I just don’t care about any of it. One of these days I’ll die. Hasn’t happened yet.
If whatever it is goes away with mucinex and tylenol, no test needed. in the last 2 + years, not ONE test up my nose!
Who put this info out there, the testing companies?
$$$$$$$$
Just drink NyQuil.
Your MD is hopefully suggesting vitamin D3 supplements to put you at lesser risk for COVID, RSV, or the flu.
Vitamin D - The Sunshine Vitamin (Non-FR)
I question if medical history might have turned out happier if vitamin D3 had been discovered before vaccines were.
At that point, "What difference does it make?"
Hat tip to Hil.
In the first year of covid, they found that 15% of covid cases had RSV at the same time.
2018: “Uh, yeah. Feel like I’m comin’ down with somethin’. *cough* Don’t wanna spread it around. Got some stuff I can work on here, so... *ahem* I’m stayin’ home today. Gotta get my flu shot anyway. Check in tomorrow. Later.”
2022: “Ohmigod. I gots the covid-crud or somethin’. *cough* Normally, I’d power through it. You know me... *ahem* I’m stupid that way. Need to get the next booster anyway. I’ll miss the zoom chat. Prolly out tomorrow, too. Later.”
Take two aspirin or Tylenol or advil and stay home for 3 days or so.
If I have cold symptoms or even partial symptoms, I’m not going to a physician to have them suggest treating for COVID or some other crap that I may or may not have & possibly making a bad situation worse. I’ve already had a pretty bad case of COVID & recovered from that, so think that one returning is unlikely.
Friend of mind did a couple covid test, negative.
Found out he had RSV. Wheezing and a cough...
Wheezing is a key thing for rsv.
Guess its not just for young kids and oldies anymore?
His lasted two weeks.
It’s the terminator “vaccines,” Silly.
