I was a Munsters fan, over The Addams Family.
The Munsters humor was great, unfortunately, this movie has no Eddie or Marilyn.

I liked it. It was a prequel of sorts, and if Rob Zombie’s bame is on something, it generally won’t suck. He’a a horror fan, bigly.
That being said, I’m not super thrilled with Herman’s pre-marriage personality. Other than that, I really enjoyed it.

The casting of the original shows were quite good.
Although the reboot of the Addams family was quite good.
The characters in this Munsters reboot don’t look right to me, so I am not expecting this to be very good.

Will this movie have gender equity and use the correct pronouns?

Maybe the director did the redo properly, with lots of light fun. I’m guessing there were no Transgenders in it. Right?
The right kind of comedy would do well this time of year.
People want a good movie that all the family can enjoy.

Starring John Fetterman as Herman Munster?

Svengoli just had some of the actors for the Rob Zombie “Munster” remake on. I’ll have to check it out. Always liked his music & videos also. Great sense of timing, and his horror / Sci-Fi mixes in his music is perfect.🤘

Starring John Fetterman as Herman Munster? Get your mid 60"s monster sitcoms correct man.
Fetterman is a duplicate of Uncle Fester, from the Addam's Family, you dolt.

Fred Gwynne would be extremely hard to replace. "The Munsters Today" showed how if you are not careful, the result looks like something off of cable access television.
It was smart to redo the iconic TV opening for the trailer, so we know it is meant to be a true carrying on of the original show, and not something unrecognizable because of the ego of the director, a desire to modernize, or the studio not understanding why the show was loved in the first place (e.g. "Lost in Space", "The Fugitive", "The Prisoner", "The Honeymooners", etc.)

The reviews on IMDB are horrible. I saw a couple of reviews of this on YouTube and they also said it was horrible.
And on top of that, it’s in color. If every a movie should be in black & white it’s this one.
Have we really reached the point that we can’t make a black & white movie no matter how appropriate?

There was a big screen Munsters movie in 1966, “Munster Go Home”, and it was also in color.

Although the reboot of the Addams family was quite good. I don't know if there is anyone other than Raul Julia who could have played Gomez Addams. It was like he was born for the role. Christina Ricci was a phenomenal Wednesday Addams.
The 1993 sequel would have been better left undone. It strayed too far from the macabre sense of humor of Charles Addams.

The original was horrible...didn't even come close to equaling The Addams Family.

The only thing I’ve ever seen Raul Julia in was “Presumed Innocent”. He was excellent in that.

I saw “Munsters Go Home”. That’s why I think it should be in black & white.
MGH would have been so much better in B&W. The colors actually ruined the movie.
