That’s like Hitler suing the Wermacht for losing the war.

I doubt any of them have money. It’s not about the money. Baldwin’s attorneys and PR people are hoping to establish in court (and in the press) that Baldwin is innocent of any wrong doing.

He should sue the deep pockets producer.
Oops. That would be him.

Wasn’t he the head honcho? He’s ultimately responsible. They didn’t fire the weapon he did

Alec Baldwin has sued the armorer and several other crew members involved in the "Rust" production for negligence over a year after a gun he was holding discharged, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza on a Western film set in New Mexico. In the lawsuit, Baldwin alleges that he was not responsible for the set's safety, and he did not know there were live rounds in the gun. But he IS responsible for pointing the gun at her and pulling the trigger.
Notice he stated it in the passive voice, that the gun discharged.

If the scene was written as a suicide scene with a pistol, Baldwin would have checked that gun.

Baldwin has given them the rope they need to hang him because the defendants now have the right to question the degree of Baldwin's own responsibility in this tragedy, which makes what he did or did not do discoverable.
Presuming Baldwin didn't file this suit Pro Forma, you have to wonder whether the attorney who did file it warned him that this could come back to bite him on the tooches.
To: zeestephen
It’s been a year wouldn’t he already be charged if they were going to do something?
