This is a nice way to prioritize fat loss.

And then you pass out and the bar comes crashing down and breaks a few bones.

"And then you pass out and the bar comes crashing down and breaks a few bones. Was going to say...probably not the best idea. I remember in high school football they loaded us up with steaks and baked potatoes before the game.

Yep, it’s not taking the cortisol increase into account.
Lift weights, do some cardio, eat “Paleo” style mostly, and get plenty of sleep.

Is this more propaganda extolling the benefits of inflation-driven starvation, or am I just getting cynical?

exercising on an empty stomach also burns muscle, well before you burn fat so there is that.
To: ConservativeMind
That is good news. I always exercise on an empty stomach. Mainly fast walking. The best is first thing in the day as soon as it is sunlight outside. Or start 20 minutes before. If you can’t get going, have a cup of black coffee, then start walking. Fast as you can. A stroll don’t cut it.

They probably weren’t worried about burning fat during your football game. This is about something totally different.

That is good news. I always encounter more exercise ... resistance when my belly is full.
Now I have a better excuse for postponing the workout.
