What inflation? We don’t have no steenking inflation. Now that murder of infants is officially the law of the banana republic, we good.

2.49 for butter at aldi this week. it freezes very well.
Passed this on to the ‘peeps’ in the family.
I do the bulk of my shopping at Aldi’s - consistently lower than anyone else, including Wally World. There are a few items I cannot get there, since selection is limited, so forced to go to Wally’s .... it’s a short trip, in/out as fast as I can manage it.
I have two turkeys (17 lb +) from Aldi’s that I bought last week - $1.07/lb - saved me almost $20 total off the regular price for both. Limit 2 per customer. I went through everything in the cold case (one was almost empty already) looking for birds over 17 lbs - most were in the 16 lb range. These were Butterball Premium turkeys, not some off brand.
For Thanksgiving, I’ve been asked to make one of the birds (great, quick recipe if anyone is interested). My SIL bought a 12 pounder & a breast the other day - I believe the plan is to smoke the whole bird. My bird is the traditional recipe ‘backup’ bird. :-)
We just got a brand spankin’ new ALDI. Turkey was 30% off.
After last night be thankful for small things.
prosciutto?
There were Italians on the Mayflower?..............
And they’ll quietly raise prices on other, less seasonal items to make up for their “loss”
We went to Aldi last week and bought our turkey; we thought it prudent to get it then because the price might get even higher. It was a 20 pounder at $1.59 lb.
The VERY NEXT DAY Aldi dropped the price to $1.09 lb.
GRRRRRRRR…..
Bought a 15lb Butterball turkey at Aldi for a $1.00/lb. I guess that’s a good price for a BB.
Let’s be honest here. Walmart will raise the price of something from $5 to $6 then lower it to $5.50 and claim that they have lowered prices.
