Donald Trump is my favorite President, even more so than Ronald Reagan.
However, I think I’m moving on from him.
I like him in the role of a clarion-calling standard bearer, and his presidency was the best I have ever seen.
I don’t like him in terms of his failure to be a team player. I’m not even sure I like him as a kingmaker. Calling out numbers to make him look good, in a severely-disappointing election shows me he doesn’t care about the boots on the ground, but only how he looks.
Reagan faced the same Establishment hate and Media mocking, but he had a great way of playful rebuttal, with a twinkle in his eye and a little smile. America loved that. All the attacks mustered against him, failed, because he was able to gently turn it around on his attacker with a witty quip or a well thought out fact.
Reagan was also the author of the phrase, the 11th commandment, which was “Thou shall not attack a fellow Republican.”
Trump, on the other hand, has a serious ego problem. He cannot resist getting into a public verbal fight with anyone who criticizes him. While this was fresh and new in 2016, and propelled him into the presidency, it doesn’t work in 2022.
Also, the way Trump fights back is not nearly as good as Reagan’s style. Trump hasn’t got the charm of Reagan, and it’s beginning to hurt our side.
It is for these reasons that I must move on from Donald Trump. Sir, thank you for your incredibly wonderful service in 2016 through 2020. You made those years prosperous and sane. But it is time to move on.
I’m likely to get a ton of flak for this post. That’s okay, I can take it.
I actually remember the name of one of them I am talking about.. Anything related to computers is ok, but that user was trying to make an issue of the VK and Zots..
Whoever that was, it was pure silliiness.
The Viking Kitties were super cool and had their place when warranted. Back then, we did really b have a problem with trolls from DU. Nowadays, not so much.
Here’s the rub: People I know in RL who are true conservatives and have plenty of $ they would be happy to donate here are put off by antics like this — and by the Q crowd :(
I’m for FR and the Conservative movement. I am dismayed by anything that impedes either.

In '16, Trump was the outsider, running against a bullpen of Bush-league establishment republicans.
in '24, Trump will be a 78-year old has-been with three failed election cycles under his belt. He isn't the wild card anymore. Everyone known him.

I’d like yo see the J6 Select Committee continue, with the Republicans doing the selecting. I think a defense of Trump could be made, if the videos of the event were shown. That said, I think the establishment Rs may be happy to see DJT damaged....to America’s detriment.

After his massive landslide victory, there's zero reason for him to sit out '24 and every last person in his circle of advisors will be telling him that.
Right now he is the biggest rising star in the GOP.

So thankful to see you on this issue. I have taken more than just flak for saying Trump’s selfish ego is the republicants worst pillar. We now see how it cumbles when shoved down America’s throat. The man needs to shut up and get out of the way. It may be too late for American conservatism already, but if he continues to demand the limelight we are doomed fer shur
