Being from Virginia, I have had a solid year of thinking about a good word for the coalition of voters that Glenn Younkin pulled together to shift a state with a pretty blue voting history into the Republican column.
"MAGA"is good for Trump supporters, but the coalition is broader than people who really like Trump. "Deplorables" is my personal favorite, but that is because I enjoy the irony of turning a clear insult into a good rally cry.
Ruy Texeira, who is a Democrat kind of writer, noted that Hispanic voters are "Normie" voters, "Normie" being a mildly dismissive term for folks who live conventional lives. Young Progressives like to think that their rebellion against their parents is a a rejection of traditional roles that guide the lives of "Normies." "Normie" is the opposite of "Progressive."
I like the term. "Normie" concerns are exactly why Youngkin was able to put together a winning vote. We want to have jobs and families, homes and communities, property and personal safety. We want to live in a country that offers a good life to "Normies."
Of course I don't think of myself as conventional, but I sure do want a world where being conventional works out for people. Hard work is a good thing. Fidelity is a good thing. Responsibility is a virtue. Striving for success is part of being a healthy person.
The left has gained and held power by appealing to Normies sense of fair play and guilt.
Now Normies have realized the left has lied to them, and intended to victimize Normies all along.
I honestly believe a winning message for building an unbeatable coalition is:
“We’ll tax you the minimum amount necessary to provide Constitutional services and economic infrastructure. We’ll cut the federal workforce by 25%, re-evaluate, then cut some more. We’ll ensure no one discriminates against anyone in a general sense. We’ll ensure your rights are protected.
And, best of all, we’ll leave you alone to live your best life. If you want nanny-state programs, vote for your state legislature to do so.”

The first person I saw use the term “normie” was Kurt Schlichter. And based on the completely weirdo stuff we are up against, it’s pretty perfect.
Trump needs to realize this is not all about him. It’s about us normies and our children who are under assault.
Youngkin didn’t pull the coalition together - the Dems pushed sane people out.
Youngkin is still taking $$$ from Pfizer...

By the way, I appreciate your comment about Normie being larger than Trump. Trump has been such a valuable champion for the Normies, that I worry we may not be ready for a future in which his courage and resource have to give way to his age. Of course, I hope that his influence leads into a Normie movement, but Republicans are a quarrelsome lot, and I am not completely confidant that RINOs can come home to the Normie populists.

I think I managed to dredge the reference to the Delbrook (maybe, Delbruck?) brain out the dim corridors of my own aging brain, but the “Abby” part is still eluding me.
Is it something I’ve forgotten out of the same movie, which I haven’t seen since the first run in the theaters?
“REGULARS” would also be good.
One trend that has happened in the last 5 years or so is that the Latino voters are leaving the Democrat plantation. Latinos are dead against sexualizing their children and teaching their kids deviant behavior such as transexualism.
Homos are mocked and ridiculed in Latin countries. Latins are far less brainwashed.

People are pretty happy with Youngkin and team. Decisions made here try to be with normie sanity, and even push against the leftist antics in NOVA.
