A seemingly calm Paul Pelosi never let on to responding officers that he was in distress just seconds before he walked back into his house where an intruder bludgeoned him with a hammer, new details from police sources have revealed.
David DePape, 42, is accused of breaking into the Pelosi home and beating Paul Pelosi, 82, over the head with a hammer after reportedly intending to hold his wife, US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, hostage and break her kneecaps.
Instead of telling officers that he needed help, or trying to flee the home, Pelosi calmly greeted them and then retreated several feet back into the foyer where police saw the DePape strike him with a hammer, police sources close to the investigation told NBC News.
It's not clear if Pelosi was already injured or what his mental state when he walked several feet back into the house, away from police.
But according to the the San Francisco police report, both Pelosi and the intruder each had a hand on the hammer when officers responded to the home, which they reportedly were struggling over as police yelled, 'drop the hammer!'

I could see that being the case
He DID NOT OPEN THE DOOR!
. . . but the best part of this is: It’s GOT to be driving Nazi Pelosi nuts, or MORE nuts than she already is! Ha!
Please do not mention smells...
It would be ridiculous to believe the cops didn’t know it was Pelosi’s pad. How stupid is that.Agree. I read that the cops were there within 2 minutes of the call.
Do you think the general populace gets that kind of service from 911?
So, you might say you're sitting right on the border about this.
Who had the top handle of the hammer?
Remember...the operator said she/he turned up the volume so he/she could hear what's going on....Maybe...but sounds like there was some double tasking going on...first to the dudes who weren't watching the monitor...than to some higher up...then to the police...
Hmmm ... this Paul Pelosi story sounds quite interesting.
After Pelosi allegedly was allowed to use the bathroom as a courtesy by the home invasion suspect, but Pelosi didn't lock the bathroom door and later Pelosi also allowed to open the front door for the cops!!
What a hoot! Not buying it, no sale.
And why did he call 911 but not seek help from the policemen?
DEPAPE Did not kill himself….
Prediction - he ends up dead in custody in apparent suicide. Jail camera malfunctioned and body cam footage from incident destroyed or blocked from release.
“... holding the bottom handle of the hammer with one hand ...”
Never heard it call that! Must be Castro Street lingo!
And that is why the Capitol Police/Secret Service avoided seeing what was happening on the security monitors.
According to the article linked below, and based on court records, the 911 call was made at 2:23 a.m. Pelosi put his cell phone on speaker. DePape was aware of the call. He was even heard by the dispatcher talking to Pelosi while they were still upstairs. It is reported that the call ended at 2:28 a.m., and cops arrived at 2:31 a.m. Doesn't it seem like there is an awful lot of dialogue, and lengthy description of movements within the house by these two men for a mere 8 minute period? The lengthy, expanded description, which sounds more like a blow-by-blow account of those mere 8 minutes seems fake, and made-up to me.
Details emerge in Paul Pelosi attack: A break-in, conversation, 911 call, then violence
“Those are the facts, under oath.”
You mean those are SOME facts — maybe facts.`
Article I read said DePape had to wake Pelosi up, and DePape saying to Pelosi that he was surprised he hadn't woke him with all the noise he was making downstairs.
Does anyone actually believe that the home of the multi-millionaire Speaker of the House, that we know has multiple cameras all over the house itself, and the surrounding grounds of the estate, doesn't have someone monitoring those cameras 24/7? I say horse sh*t!
Then he shouldn't be allowed out and about at all hours of the morning, to drive while drunk, blow through stop signs, and cause accidents that include bodily harm. He's a danger to society, and himself.
What happened to the narrative of him going into the bathroom to call the cops? Most people have their phone charger in the closest space to the bedroom, which would likely be upstairs not near the foy yay. Most homes I worked on that were for the lah dee dah wealthy, had no bathrooms close to the front entrance. They were hidden away behind the garage, or upstairs.
How do I know there are lies involved? Changing narratives which is the method they use all the time.
