How interesting. The Atlantic is one of the most forward-looking and yet curated publications and they do not publish rubbish and random musings. And now they have a prominent author asking for “amnesty” and forgiveness.
Nobody is asking for amnesty for good deeds, right?
The article rambles and weaves to avoid mentioning anything specific as to who and what the amnesty would be FOR. What are the specific misdeeds that The Atlantic wants to be forgiven? Emily’s article is NOT clear.
It talks, strangely, about people voluntarily wearing masks in foreign preserves:

” and they do not publish rubbish and random musings.” Nonsense.
Alot of people are trying to toss their covid behavior right down the memory hole.
More of sewage and leftward marching orders. If it was merely random they might get it right once in a while like the proverbial blind squirrel.
Agreed. Including with this article. For example:
“Another example: When the vaccines came out, we lacked definitive data on the relative efficacies of the Johnson & Johnson shot versus the mRNA options from Pfizer and Moderna. The mRNA vaccines have won out.”
This whole problem would go away if Biden would just give every American $1000. Consider this to be a ‘forgive and forget’ payment.
It doesn’t matter what you did. Not wearing masks when you should have. Wearing masks when it was silly do so. Who cares? Here’s $1000.
Nope
I will never forget the atrocious behavior of so many A holes during the pandemic
Never.
Amnesty? My parents were in their early 90s and in good health. You locked them down for the last year and a half of their life. They couldn’t go to church anymore. They were scared and cajoled into that infernal shot, 3 days later dad was in the hospital with a brand new heart inflamation. Mom and dad were dead in 6 weeks.... Amnesty isn’t what I am thinking of.
sounds like a confession
I didn’t lose a relative but did friends. Young and healthy. Forgiveness . . ? nah, it was intentional and coldblooded. Mandated by those in power. No forgiveness because there’s no repentance.
Indeed
The beginnings of asking for mercy.
No. No no no and NO!
No amnesty. Prosecute every single person involved in deceiving the public about the covid virus and the “vaccine.” Prosecute every politician involved in the lockdowns, the vax mandates and the mask mandates
Then throw them all to the crowd.
"Oster, a longtime advcoate for opening schools during the pandemic that made her a lightning rod for criticism on the left, outlined her frustrations in a piece for The Atlantic headlined, "Universities Need to Catch Up to the Post-vaccine Reality."
I think it's more likely, that Prof Oster has not been forgiven for her Ivy betrayal by covidians, and is using her podium to try and restore some civility.
Jesus forgives those who come to Him with a contrite heart. If some covidian did that with me, and really sincerely apologized, I'd accept it.
I think it's more likely that I'll find The Easter Bunny on my commute to work tomorrow..
And at the top of the list place anyone participating in the funding of the gain of function research (past and present) anywhere in the world.
I think this is just the run up to absolving any persons, organizations, agencies or the like from lawsuits resulting from their oppression of free people in demanding compliance with their UNPROVEN assertions about the vaccine(s).
I also will never forgive the Mean, Rude Restaurant workers who screamed at customers who didn’t have their masks covering their nose.
There is a long list of Restaurants I hope go bankrupt over their Covid behavior.
I had to say goodbye to my father via Zoom while he died in a hospital without his loved ones around. The Atlantic author can go to hell.
