Vladimir Putin's conscripts have been filmed drunkenly battering each other in an alcohol-fuelled brawl at a training barracks ahead of their deployment to the battlefields of Ukraine.
An extraordinary leaked video shows the 'drunk' soldiers punching each other, with some ending up unconscious on the floor during the fight at the barracks in Yurga, Siberia.
The video shows Putin's army intelligence and military police dragging the unconscious troops, who are from the 74th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade, along the street and away from the bloody brawl.
The footage tallies with reports of low morale and drunkenness among Russian recruits and speaks to wider problems faced by Putin's military - poor command, discipline and organisation - that have plagued its war effort so far.

Are you on all the time, just waiting for posts? You responded in less than a minute.
That deserves your red Star sticker for the day. Diligence is required for the defense of the motherland.
Undisciplined, unfocused, unafraid of any military consequences. Why would they have access to vodka while heading to recruit training? Maybe liquor is still a big part of their general culture and it’s hard to keep it out.
American military used to be almost that way, where Generals would often have a bottle of whiskey in their side drawer.
Been here 25 years, going on 26, VomitLt.
You had to be fast back in the day if you wanted your FR article bashing The Pantload to make it up on the front page of the Drudge Report.
What's this "Red Star" nonsense, anyway?
SoCal Pubbie fingered you as one of the freepers who are "rootin for Pootin"...
You do know that the Ukrainians are just a branch of Russians, don’t you.

The Washington Post noted there are "power outages continuing in the Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions," and others. The Post listed some of the below regions impacted by large-scale power outages and water supply disruptions:
Kyiv region: Russian strikes damaged buildings, and rescuers are searching for victims, the regional police said. Attacks left 80 percent of the capital without water and are likely to cause sustained power outages, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.
Kharkiv: Two strikes hit critical infrastructure facilities in the eastern city, causing problems with the water supply and affecting the public transit network, the mayor said.
Zaporizhzhia region: An infrastructure facility was struck by rockets, the local governor said, prompting warnings from officials in the southern region that energy supplies there could also be affected.
Cherkasy region: Some of the region lost power after air attacks on infrastructure facilities, the military administrator said.
Well, Russia leads the world in abortion and alcoholism. And their HIV rate is the highest of any first world nation. Their NEW HIV infection rate is even worse, and it’s growing, while all other 1st world countries are declining. But the Russian State church, with a KGB officer as its leader, is the “Savior of Christianity”.
Your Putin is whining about Sevastopol right now on TV while talking to reporters. So much winning! LOL!
DTEK—the Ukrainian energy giant that provides a significant share of the country's energy supply—is running out of equipment to fix the widespread power outages the country has experienced under fire by invading Russian forces.
On Monday, officials with Ukraine's largest privately operated energy company announced it has depleted its stores of equipment following a series of attacks on the country's energy and water infrastructure over the past month. On Monday, Russian forces deployed at least 50 missiles targeting the country's electrical grid and water supplies, leaving swaths of the country without power as winter approaches.
While DTEK Executive Director Dmytro Sakharuk said Monday the company was able to purchase some equipment to offset the losses, the cost of the equipment is "now measured in hundreds of millions of dollars," with some outages estimated to last well into Tuesday.
The 74th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade, or as they're now known, the 74th of Many Untrained Motorless Rifleless Cannon Fodder Brigade.
What do you think Ukraine can do to prevent Russia from dismantling the whole electric grid? How is a county supposed to win a war with electricity and when the other side controls the air space?
Just a few rowdy Siberians, is all.
Soon Zman will be asking for blankets rather than bullets. Winter approaches
Your Putin really embarrassed himself on TV today with his whining about Sevastopol. Sad.
“low morale and drunkenness among Russian recruits”
No... That sums up pretty much all Russians I ran in to.
