Two cautions if you are unsure about any mushroom don’t eat it and NO LBM’s (Little Brown Mushrooms) Never eat LBFM's either. Just sayin'.

Mushroom walks into a bar and orders a beer. The bartender looks at the mushroom and says "sorry, we don't serve your kind in here."
Mushroom says "Why not? I'm a fun guy."

Whenever I want to go blind, suffer liver failure and die in agony, I go mushroom foraging.

My Grandpa was a Fungi Forager.
He grew up near Kiev on his parent’s farm until the Bolshevik Revolution.
The Bolshevik’s came on to their farm, took their crops and livestock, including my Grandpa’s white stallion, which 50 years later still pissed him off! (Somehow his first job off the farm was in the American Army during WWI?)
I remember as kid having a great time going with him to look for rooms and fights with my mom cuz she would never let me eat them!!!

Picked a pound or so of poisonous
Agaricus xanthodermus (commonly known as the Yellow-Staining Mushroom or simply the Yellow-Stainer) today while jogging my usual route.
Was able to definitely identify it only after I got home and performed some tests. (It strongly resembles / is superficially almost impossible to distinguish from Agaricus arvensis, commonly known as the Horse Mushroom.)

She's a rank amateur. If I ever run across a tattooed, ugly mycophagist, I'll let you now. The porcini are old and only good for drying. The middle one is most probably boletus barowsii Anything else you want me to comment on? Thanks for the ping. Lastly, her reference field guide is a poor one for her area. It's by David Arora, a friend of mine.

I’m red/green colorblind. The deficit extends to color blends so that teal can look purple for me. A foraging activity where fine shades of color can be the difference between life and death are not my best activity.
I love mushrooms though.

Mushroom picking was the only kind of hunting my dad took me on. He knew what he was picking - I never learned properly and would not eat anything I picked today. Fresh picked mushies are a treat that I miss.
