My Mom was a child of the Depression. She had a can where she saved her bacon grease.

It’s NBC owned station. Sometimes a little skewed. They always play up the rival plot. Notice how WW2 saved these companies after the Deppression.

I run regular table salt (spices too) - non-iodized is better for this - through my coffee grinder. Instant Popcorn salt. This sticks better.

If I’m feeling extra fancy, I’ll blend in Cayenne or garlic powder. Fajita seasoning isn’t too bad either.

Sometimes I’ll cannibalize the Cheddar packet out of a box of Mac&Cheese and spread that through. Very tasty. What I’d like to find, is sour cream and onion powder.

Most of the cheapest popcorn available in Iowa is great. Probably freshest. Probably same thing in places like Indiana.

Doubtful big population centers get the same advantage.

I read somewhere Popcorn is tricky, it can be “too fresh”, too much internal moisture, needs to dry down some.

I found some Amish grown popcorn out of Ohio on that famous auction site. Price isn’t too bad. I suppose local Iowanians sell it, but I’ve never seen it.
