Two “crazy” dads have been charged with attempted murder after allegedly opening fire and hitting each other’s daughters in a terrifying road-rage gun battle in Florida, authorities said.
During the gun battle, Hale’s 5-year-old daughter was hit in the leg and Allison’s 14-year-old daughter was shot in the back, leaving her with a collapsed lung, Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper said Monday.
“What’s scarier than one crazy driver with a gun? Two crazy drivers with a gun,” the shocked sheriff said.
“Thankfully, no one was killed in this incident, but it could have very easily turned out that way because two people were acting stupid and let their tempers get the best of them.
“There could have been two dead kids because of two stupid grown men.”
Leeper said the agency “received multiple 911 calls with reports of people being shot at” on Highway 1 near Callahan in suburban Jacksonville.
One of those callers told authorities that a black Dodge Ram pickup was “involved in a cat and mouse game” with a gray Nissan Murano — and that another vehicle at one point was also involved ahead of the gun battle.

Throw Mama from the Train?
I was just reading this:
From the article:
This is the horrifying moment two Florida fathers go berserk at each other after allegedly shooting each others’ daughters.
The video starts with Frank Allison, 43, yelling obscenities at William Hale, 35, after the pair are said to have fired the rounds during a road rage incident near Jacksonville.
‘That’s what you get!’ Allison is heard yelling. Allison then offers his shirt to his 14-year-old girl Shelby, who is being helped by cops after she was allegedly shot in the back by Hale.

They kept fighting AFTER they got pulled over and the medics were trying to help the girls who got shot.
It is terrifying to drive in Houston. This afternoon from downtown to Med Center, an Escalade with blacked out windows honked, raced in front of me, swerved in front of me such that I had to brake or hit them, brake checked me, and scared the crap out of me. On a city street, driving like 30 miles an hour. I’m an old man driving like a grandpa to go get his meds. These people are insane. They all drive like they are in Grand Theft Auto. I hope they get what they deserve for this insane driving. And they are generally either disenfranchised lives matter, or illegal aliens, in Houston. Old white guys are not doing these crazy things.
Sarcasm, which I am well known for.
And yet, not everyone understands, especially when panties are worn too tight. /SARCASM
You don’t know how they actually identify.
Heck, they might even identify as the wives.
Well, hold muh beer
I lived in Florida for 14 years. :)
BINGO!
They don’t understand the difference between freedom and anarchy. They could be from Oklahoma just as well.
I think it is a south thing.
Not your usual suspects.
Not your usual suspects.
The word “Dads” should have told you that they weren’t “the usual suspects”.
Yes, that’s eastern part of Nassau County.
This incident happened on US1 near Callahan.......................Right where my folks lived and my wife’s still do.......................
Or at least cousins!.....................
Okay. I’ve been through Callahan on my way to Hilliard.
I got to go in the En Route ATC center there.
We lived behind the old Florida Alligator Farm tourist trap on US1. My stepdad was a Computer Tech at the ATC in Hilliard. My wife’s folks lived on Eastwood Road across from the grass airstrip about a mile from the ATC....................
Right after I got out of the Marines in ‘77, he gave me a Behind-the-Scenes tour of the Center, showed me how everything worked, etc. Trying to get me to apply for a ATC job. Told me I would have to join PATCO. I wasn’t interested. Three years later Reagan fired everybody..................... 😜
“...the old Florida Alligator Farm...”
Where was that?
I’ve been to the St. Augustine one many times.
I’ve still got my huge cup you can buy beers for.
Only in Florida can you get drunk around hundreds of alligators...
I was on the other side of JAX in Flemming Island.
It’s Clay County, about 10 miles south of NAS JAX.
I was thinking of becoming ATC, which is why I was there, but wound up going to school on the GI Bill.
It was on US1 halfway between Callahan and Hilliard.
Been defunct for many years. I think it closed finally sometime around 1981. They had a small zoo behind the store, alligator pit, black panther, peacocks, monkeys, snakes, etc.
US1 used to be one of the main tourist routes into Florida along with US17 before I-95 was completed thru to Georgia..............
Always thought it would be interesting to take US1 from Mile 0 in Key West to the Canadian border.
