A worker claimed she joined credit bureau company Equifax, only to quit after 10 minutes when her co-workers said she “wasn’t going to like it.”
In the video, which amassed 86,000 views, @tinkfineass films herself venting as she’s walking back to her car. Say recalls, “I came to work today at 10 o’clock, walked up in there, saw a couple of familiar faces, and they were like ‘Are you our new worker?’ and I was like, ‘Umm, yeah?’ and they was like, ‘You ain’t gonna like here.’”
She claims she spoke to the trainer who gave her a badge and told her to wait in the lobby because the background check wasn’t complete, to which she recalls telling them not to “worry about it” and that “they could have their badge back.”
The video is accompanied by the overlay text: “1st day of work.. Quit after 10 minutes. You ain’t gotta tell me twice.”
A few resonated with the TikToker and shared their own stories of quitting early on in the job. “Lol sheeit i worked a burger king for all of 30 mins lol,” one said.
‘I walked outta Amazon during production my back was hurting,” another said.
Others argued that it’s possible to tell if a job is the right fit as soon as one starts working there. “I wouldve done the same. you can tell they disorganized. wouldnt waste my time,” a viewer argued.
“No bc if the STAFF is telling you something aint right something aint right,” a second pointed out.
Many viewers expressed their confusion and even criticized the decision. “So you allow someone else’s opinion, dictate your check or the lack there of,” just one of the critical responses read.
This criticism prompted @tinkfineass to post a follow-up TikTok, in which she claims there were other “red flags” prior to the co-worker’s comment and that the comment was simply “the final straw.”
The Daily Dot reached out to @tinkfineass via TikTok comment and to Equifax via email.
Knew before I looked. Our company just hired a bunch of her cousins....don’t expect most to last. They seem to go from job to job looking for lots of money and easy street.
I quit a job at the first break once. I was handcuffing chickens to be slaughtered. Grab a chicken, slap it to the shackles and let it go. It was July hot, and the place smelled horrendous.
The guys at unemployment tried to convince me NOT to take the job. I should have listened.

Well... apply for a job in the fake, show-trial Jan6 committee. In the interview praise Liz Cheney and criticize President Trump. You will be a star.
I think you misquoted: “...you can tell they disorganized...”
I weep for these people.
On the other hand, my children and grandchildren will always have jobs. If they don’t get hired somewhere, they are perfectly capable of making their own jobs and have been raised with the gumption to do it.
This is a good example of the failure of our wonderful public education system in teaching students how to write. Sure, knowing your audience and writing at their level is an important consideration but this article gives the impression that it was written by an idiot. Heck, I believe even Joe Biden could do better! It is filled with incomplete sentences, missing words, poor spelling, and incomprehensible jargon, all of which gives me the impression that Equifax dogged a bullet on this hire.
I'm retired so I'm asking out of curiosity. What do you do if an applicant has zero social media profile? Are they immediately eliminated from the potential interview category?
Sorry to butt in, but I’d hire that person in an instant, for being very, very, smart.
I didn’t even have to look. I wonder if she has ever had an actual job. Kinda doubt it.
April 12, 1861 – May 26, 1865 A civil war was fought between
the north and south to abolish slavery free and the slaves.
I was born in 1940 and there still was some symblence of slavery
yet. We had a black person to work at one of our country stores. He
pump gas, fixed flats, loaded feed supplies etc. The other was white
but had no education. He worked among the familes home sites to
help with manual labor, work the gardens, etc. Times have changed
for sure. Have a nice evening.
Eliminate welfare. Make them have to work or go hungry. The attitude will change.
No need to apologize. I’ve read more and more frequently that employers peruse an applicant’s social media posts. It makes sense, if I were still interviewing potential employees I would do that. But, since I’ve never had a social media account (does FR count?), nor have I ever had a cell/smart phone would I immediately be eliminated from the potential hire list?
Fast forward five years: "I don't understand. You're the fifth used car place that has rejected my loan application! First I couldn't get a mortgage, now this!"
Yeah, but the slaves have all died. The blacks born after 1865 pretty much never knew actual slavery. Although being a share-cropper could come pretty close sometimes. But that applied to white share-croppers too.
My point is, I do not feel sorry for blacks anymore for any slavery stuff. Much of where they are today financialy speaking and culturally speaking is due to a near 80% illegitimate birth rate. I feel sorry for the little black kids born into that situation, but that can be fixed a whole lot sooner when we quit making excuses for blacks and blaming white folks and 1619 and Jim Crow for where they are today and start telling it like it is. As my BFF put it, in one of her poems:
Why Is I Po?
A Short Poem
By Squeeky Fromm, Girl Reporter
I wants to know,
Why I is po?
You is po,
Because yo momma
Was a ho!
(A bit blunt, but what the poem lacks in empathy, it more than makes up for in accuracy and honesty.)
Or, she is just another lazy assed human being wandering around among us.
I would say Equifax dodged a bullet.
we have a ‘special’ questionnaire to find out if he’s an idiot or liberal. They’re pretty much the same.
then you’re the smart one. But we know how to weed out the idiot lefties with a simple “special” questionnaire..
As I pointed out earlier, this ratchet posted in August about "My new car is ready for pickup".
