The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) denounced as “classic anti-Semitism” remarks by the rapper Kanye West, who in a radio interview last week attempted to explain President Obama’s inability to gain momentum on his policy priorities in Washington, D.C. with the outrageous statement that, “Black people don’t have the same level of connections as Jewish people.”
“If the comments are true as reported, this is classic anti-Semitism,” said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. “There it goes again, the age-old canard that Jews are all-powerful and control the levers of power in government. As a celebrity with a wide following, Kanye West should know better. We hope that he will take responsibility for his words, understand why they are so offensive, and apologize to those he has offended.”

The state of Israel has always had Muslims and Druze Arabs holding political office.
One thing that impressed me about the identity Jews have, believe it or not, was watching a couple episodes of The Chosen.
One of the episodes, the second one in season one, actually had a lot to do with the Jewish preparation and celebration of the sabbath. Another episode dealt with them observing the Feast of Booths and how it brought them together in community.
That to say, it really gave me an understanding of how ingrained, shall I say, their sense of identity was as Jews. And I realized how much is missing from our culture in terms of family and cultural identity.
It also gave me a deeper understanding of why the left has been working so relentlessly to change our society and culture. They are renaming parks and schools, they are disparaging and discouraging the celebration of national holidays, like Memorial Day, July 4 th, etc, by canceling them, purportedly do to Covid, creating new holidays like Juneteenth and Kwanzaa, and the list goes on.
It’s insidious and evil but makes a lot more sense when you see what a strong national and cultural identity can lead to.
Of course, there is the divine factor that G-D made His promises to Abraham and the Jewish people WILL endure throughout time and eternity. When G-D is for you, who can (ultimately) prevail against you even if they sometimes have short term successes?
The Druze have been there for thousands of years, with ancestry going back to the Greeks, and they aren’t part of the mainstream muslim religion, and have their own ethic place in Israel.

That’s fine if immigrants want to come here, but we don’t have to sell out our children and grandchildren’s birthright to foreigners, because that will never work out for us in the end. Just look at the state of the U.S. now.
For some reason, people of European Ancestry have to be ashamed of wanting to have their own culture and country even in Europe now.
Of course not. The black communities are shattered intentionally by divisive policies, embraced and celebrated by democrats.
When one of the more popular memes of one's culture is the father who abandons his family, there's a great deal of introspection that needs to take place.
Whatever he says about "The Jews", you cannot say they don't have strong family ties and values and a cohesive cultural community that spans thousands of years.
But this doesn't mean that black communities can't get there eventually, they simply need to change their culture and embrace one that doesn't involve getting flushed down a democrat toilet.
It was not a slur against Jews. It was in a way a compliment. Though being black has been defined as a “race” it is not a single culture with its own religion, as is being Jewish. Such a culture makes sone connectedness to everyone who identifies as Jewish, even if they disagree politically.
The ADL is just another Liberal organization trying to defame a Conservative BECAUSE he is black and his being black pulls other blacks out of the Liberal plantation.
He sounds pretty beat up.
I have no idea if this is true but I *have* seen it written that about half of Americans who identify themselves as Jews also identify themselves as being atheists.
Yeah, he is. He’s a smart, nice guy but a bit socially inept and the layoff and the lack of an immediate job opportunity unfortunately crushed him.
The work situation around the mass layoff and the amount of time he’d been there took a big toll on him.
Jews have one another and blacks have one another.
Plus blacks have millions of honkies who think shoveling them money and handing them things is a virtue.
The Jews have conducted the Word of God, the Torah, God’s connection to the earth, through 5000 years, INTACT, without the gain or loss of a single word or character in all of that time. That in itself is miraculous.
ADL getting a little too sensitive on this issue. A lot of the Old Testament, e.g. Leviticus, Chronicles, is devoted to recording the genealogy of the Jewish people. In the Old Testament Abraham was 20 generations removed from Adam.

The Jews were defeated and captured by the Babylonians in about 590 BC, and only regained a homeland in 1949!
The comprehensive record is one of the most amazing achievements of humanity. The record becomes more precise at the time of David, Samuel, and Saul about 900 BC - before the foundation of the Greek and Roman civilizations. The cohesiveness of the Jewish people is indisputable, and something to be admired, in a society where many youths don’t know who their father is.
Can’t the same thing be said about the Italians or Irish? I wonder why the English and Germans did not follow the same community supports?
I think all ethnicities have used that networking structure to some degree, at one time or another. The nuclear family has usually been the primary and most essential one.
The so-called Anti-Defamation League exists solely to defame anyone with whom they disagree, so they should be called the Defamation League. They are just as bad or even worse than their minime the SPLC.
His remark was giving credit to a documented high-IQ American population group who value education and have succeeded in business, healthcare, research and academia. More Nobel prizes are held by Jews than any other group.
Having lived in Hollywood and worked in both the music and the fashion industries, surely Kanye knows and has worked with many Jews.
It’s no different than pointing how Asian families work together to help each other, Kanye isn’t criticizing Jewish people, he’s basically saying black people need to learn from their example.
The ADL was part of the consortium of lefties who insisted that Judge Roy Moore's Ten Commandments monument be removed from the Alabama Courthouse. The irony! To whom did God give the Commandments for safekeeping?
