I used Flex Seal to seal around the flange of a new vent stack on the roof a relative’s house some years ago. No leaks.

I like spray foam.
My wife hates it.
When I use it, I often underestimate expansion. That usually doesn’t bother me.

Nice trick: “After I applied the expandable spray foam, I let it dry for a few hours, and then I sprayed ‘Flex Seal’ liquid rubber on the expandable foam. When that dried, I had a good waterproof seal.” Good job, buddy. And yes, Newsweek is like AOL and useless.
