Kill this is not OK. Bloomberg is OK with it being archived
Would be a smash.
“Wish GM or Ford would make a small, gasoline, normally-aspirated rugged economy car with no electronics... something EMP- proof. Market it as such.
Would be a smash.”
India would be the party that makes these in India and exports to the USA. Same as their Mahindra tractors and farm equipment that they advertised on Rush Limbaugh show.
GM and Ford will make higher tech automobiles, there is more profit in them. But same as you I would love such a car. Like ye old pinto or vega but fuel injected. EMP proofed!
A simple no frills 4 cyl engine in a nice little car would be fine, old school MG/Fiat style vehicle, top down.
The required airbags would be the most expensive part of such a car. Probably nearly a third of the cost.
With REAR WHEEL DRIVE.
“there is more profit in them.” Until they won’t be able to produce them because they will not work with our grid. Not now, not ever, without a petroleum based energy system which the liberals are trying to destroy. THEN they will come back to the American people and demand to be bailed out. But the American Economy will no longer be able to do that, so bye bye GM and Ford.
If you do the math, there hasn’t been enough raw material mined on earth in history for the current battery technology to replace 1:1 internal combustion engines just in the United States. (Okay, I might have made that up, but I’ll wager that it is true).
I will guarantee though, that there is no urban electrical grid in America ready to handle massive numbers of 400V charging stations to replace the system of gas stations that currently fuels American vehicles.
I got no problem with electric cars as a format, but for things to be possible on a wide scale, we need to wait for technology to catch up with the political whims of the moment. Existing electric cars have leveraged existing capacity, but it doesn’t scale. How are we going to charge noe one or two cars in a parking lot, but an entire apartment complex? How do we handle all those homes with on street parking? Can a tow truck deliver a charge to a stranded vehicle in the same way a jerry can fuels one now? Solutions need to be there, otherwise you got a whole lot of expensive boat anchors out there.
This whole EV crap is a fad, just like in 1895, when Steam and ICE vehicles put that garbage into museums. In 7-10yrs, Ford, GM, BMW, Volvo, MB etc etc etc will have spent trillions on it, and have hundreds of billions of that drech sitting in fields. I’m laughing at it now.
While one would expect GM (Government Motors) to head down this road to ruin, Ford’s move in the same direction is baffling. Maybe this is part of the Great Strategy: get large corporations to adopt the Green Scam, go broke, get bailed out by Washington, become virtually nationalized. Ford’s board better wake up and change course or they will wind up just a part of history.
They are going for BROKE.........................😜
it is not possible on a wide scale
but that is not a problem to the globullists
it is part of the plan
only the rich and powerful will be able to afford personal transportation
the masses will be on the bus
Never let a manufactured crisis go to waste.
“How do we handle all those homes with on street parking?”
I guess you are not paying attention—Unicorns will be wandering city streets dumping their excrement next to the electric vehicles—plug them in and you are good to go!
;-)
agree except it will be govt mandated
the big auto companies would not be moving to EVs without expecting a govt mandate
the plan is to ban gas cars
or the masses will be on the bus
