he was serving a 4-year-term in prison for violent assault, but the Parole felt releasing him last spring would be "good for the community"
then he was re-arrested again, and released again
a whole lot of incompetent justice-system workers have a lot of explaining to do
s/b “Parole Board”
George Floyd v2.0
Either that or he was brought to within an inch of his life by beating or some other means.
Not in this life..................😒
I guess Trudeau will now hold a candle light vigil and invite people to bring teddy bears and wreaths.
“ a whole lot of incompetent justice-system workers have a lot of explaining to do ”
I suspect they are simply following orders from much higher up the food chain.
“He later went into medical distress and was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.”
Yeah.... uh-huh..... dead men tell no tales.
Sounds like serial killer Leonard Lake. When arrested and taken into custody he took a hidden cyanide pill rather than face justice.
Hmm, it's almost as if the people in charge didn't care about his tendency to do the same thing over and over again. They still had a naive assumption that he was a genuinely good-natured dude after all those offences.
a whole lot of incompetent justice-system workers have a lot of explaining to do
You're the person in charge, and your government is the repeat offender.
The cogs in the system do what their political overlords demand.
Blaming a parole officer for a political decision to release a violent felon who has NOT served their full sentence is like blaming a kid for being fat who is only served McDonalds at every meal.
Almost 3 decades of hard-won experience and prior to the BLM/Antifa movement I always believed there was a pendulum that swung to one side or the other, but never too far either way.
It is now broken. We have moved the center very far to the left in most of the nation.
It will take a decade or longer to fix the criminal justice system in our nation and its being made worse by other factors such as the border, fentanyl, the homeless crisis/mental health, and now a collapsing economy.
Remember that a lot of “crime” can be linked to addiction that leads to “drug babies”. The increased drug abuse means another generation of young adults who are behaviorally challenged because their brains were damaged in utero and their early childhood sucked. We are still suffering the results of “crack babies” and now we have “meth babies” and soon it will be fentanyl babies.
Big pharma is also contributing as we have become a nation flush with psychotropic medication and nobody really knows how this impacts a fetus, young child in development, or teen/young adult. We are living with a generation of young adults who have been treated with SSRI medications that benefited big pharma and the teachers unions with long term damage to kids.
If you learn the story of most people in our prison system you will find a lot of the above - especially in the repeat offenders who cannot even last a few months on the outside.
We are also beginning to see the impact of very potent marijuana onto society that is quite popular with young people and young pregnant mothers despite its impact on brain/behavior development. Talk to psychologists or psychiatrists who treat those “involuntarily committed” for evaluation.... it’s real! This ain’t the hippie lettuce of the 70’s and it is presenting as schizophrenia and even psychosis.
I don’t see any reasons for optimism about “crime”.
“He later went into medical distress”
Sounds like the Canadian cops dispensed a little street justice there.
BLM, do your stuff, if you dare.
Any calls in Canada for tougher knife control?
