EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Got it in four. My computer is home! Poor baby had a ribbon cable failure and was in the shop for almost two weeks.
So hopefully I will be back in the game.
It is good to be back in the game!

PTL!
We haven’t had any significant weather here, PTL. What’s it like in your neck of the woods?
I forgot that your computer was going into the shop. Welcome back!
Good job on the four!
Awww... What a sweetie!
Good morning. I hope you had a good night, with not too much pain.
This is Conference weekend, so I’ll spend six hours today and four tomorrow listening to wonderfully uplifting talks, two hours at a time. Three sessions today and two tomorrow.
In the meantime, I forgot that they’re broadcast in MDT, so that means the evening session won’t start until 1700 and and end at 1900 and that’s just too late for me to be galivanting around the ‘hood, so I’ll decline the invitation to dinner and watch from the comfort of my bed.
It’s 46Β° out! Brrrr!
Another one of those tricksie words today. ERK!
But that’s OK. Monday will be my 200th game. I can’t believe I’ve stuck with it all this time!

It sounds like a good plan. Stay warm!
The Weather has gone past us, without much result except puddles. The Cub Scouts have Raingutter Regatta this morning. Kathleen and I will be leaving 8:30-ish.
...Stay warm!
Sorry, but I haven't been warm for any period of time since I've been here. I tried to go spend time outside when the temps were around 100Β°, but the humidity was almost as high, so I couldn't stay out long. The heater in the bathroom helps, and without the mattress pad, I'd freeze. But I'm longing for some desert heat. (And hands and knees that don't hurt all the time.)
Good luck to Kathleen and whoever else you’re cheering for!
Kathleen’s boat is very lightweight, which is good. However, there’s a lot of entropy involved in this event. At least it’s indoors!
There is that!!!
Good morning! Itβs a beautiful, sunny brisk morning here and Iβm off to meet a friend at the Farmers Market.
I hope everyone is well and enjoying the weekend.
Still riding that four-train.
