EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.

Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Good morning. Did you have a good night with no cats?
1. The luggage has been found.
2. They had to drive to Burbank for it.
3. They went to a hockey game.
And each item of information was separated by about an hour, and there was a random phone call in there somewhere. I think my total amount of sleep last night was six hours. Maybe six and a half. *sigh*
I dreamed I was back in Utah. Or maybe it was just some place that looks like Utah. At any rate, it’s probably just wishful thinking.

Ah. I see you’ve never been to the lovely state of Utah, nestled in the Rockies, home to 15 ski resorts, lots of natural lakes and reservoirs, and 16 stupendous national parks. Not a boring place, for sure!

I’ve been to Utah, but I also know it’s been used as the filming location for Sci-Fi movies because its deserts look like what we imagine other planets would look like.

“Footloose” was filmed in my hometown and surrounds. I know of a LOT of Westerns that were filmed in Utah, but not too many Sci-Fi. And just at the moment, I can’t think of any place that would look like Mars. Maybe around Moab, but that’s where John Wayne and Susan Hayward got cancer when they filmed “The Conqueror.”
