EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more
Um ... er ... yes. Of course. ;)
😂😂🤣🤣
Today would have been a good day for an OFST. At least, I could really have used one.
Offset Vertical Seismic Profile?
Yeah, I know what those days are like. I hope you have a good weekend, AeGee.
Any more news on Princess Dog?
I’m glad the MRI was a success. I’m back from the science team meeting, and next I have choir practice.
So. Stinking. CUTE!
Glad you could find it.
Good luck on the choir practice!!
How did Envirothon go today?
Yes, thank you! And rare as hen’s teeth in real life, so the “toy” was all I could manage! It isn’t coming out of the carton. ;o] That way, when I croak, my FS can add it to his collection. As if he needed any more.
Good job on the Triple today!
Time goes faster when you’re older! LOL! I read an article on that once, a long time ago, and I laughed at it. I mean it was logical, but in such a convoluted way I really had to stop and think about it, then read the article again. (If I saved it, it’s probably on a floppy.) So you not having time for the fruit stand doesn’t surprise me. Time may be moving faster but we aren’t!
Fine. Almost all the kids were there, and things went really well. I can’t say the forestry lecture was riveting, but it’s a lot of facts.
Mom has been up since 2:30.
Has woken the whole house. Is bound and determined that no one can get back to sleep.
Who knew the TV could be that loud? she usually watches it muted.
And she’s not content to watch TV in her room, she wandered back into the living room ant cranked it up ALL THE WAY.
Are you going to watch it?
NO I’M GOING BACK TO BED! GO TO BED MOM!!!
Finally the both of us persuaded her to go back to her room. I give it a minute before she has the TV there on full blast and can’t find channel 50 (Ha, I just heard her say “50”) there is no channel 50.
I’m sorry about your tv issue. I have people in my household who imagine they are in a cone of silence when they initiate any noise-producing activity. I wish I had it in me to do the same, just to show them, but I can’t.
She’s quieted down. Is making just barely enough noise so that you know she’s not asleep and could erupt at any moment.
I’d go back to bed but Tyson-who-is-not-allowed-on-the-furniture has taken it over. No I don’t coddle him. Good thing he’s cute...
And the TV is on loud. *sigh*
I’m so sorry about your mom, Nully.
I don’t think she realizes what she’s doing.
What a sweet little floof!
Good morning. I hope you had a good night.
I’m just waiting for my groceries to be delivered. Better than waiting to be picked up for shopping. At least this way, I know when they’re coming.
Maybe I’ll watch a movie today. ;o]
She knows something’s wrong. Paradoxically that makes it harder.
