At 5:07 pm, officers in the 1600 block of Victor located a deceased party. The identity of this person and the cause of death is unconfirmed at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Sounds like pulling the money is exactly what should happen. The fact that she was a rich white woman just amplifies the point.

I think about that often. It’s wildly unconstitutional. How is that still going on and why has no one brought legal action to stop it. I understand why Republicans in congress have ignored it, fear and cowardice. Why have no conservative legal foundations done anything? It’s a disgrace.

I have to share a humorous story in this awful situation.
About 12-15 years ago we went to Tunica for a short vacay. One day wife and I decided to take a Mississippi riverboat cruise. The Captain was classic old south gentlemen with the drawl and everything including Colonel Sanders like goatee. He was giving tour notes on the cruise about the river etc when a guest noted we were only a few miles from Memphis.
Someone (maybe me can’t remember) urged him to go up to the city that we would all chip in on a few dollars.
Without missing a beat he drawled in the the Pa system “why Suh this vessel is inadequately armed for such an expedition. I would not do such a thing with out at least two 50 caliber MG and a 5 inch gun”.
The clincher is while the crowd laughed I looked at his face and he wasn’t.

The Republicans in Congress, most of them, SUPPORT the jailing and torture of the mostly peaceful Capitol tourists.
They're not afraid of anything, except their voters taking power.

Just from hearing & reading she was an obsessive runner. Maybe her husband & family told her not to, but she wouldn’t listen....I don’t know.
I do know Memphis though & the ONLY time we go there now is when we go to the airport.
