'I'm DONE with Portland' : Furious residents of the Dem-led city reveal to DailyMail.com why they have no choice but to sell their homes as 'homeless drug addicts' set up camp right outside their front doors

In a city known for it's unique neighborhoods, bike-friendly commutes, and locally-owned businesses, some Portland, Oregon residents have become so terrified of the homeless crisis plaguing the area, which is now spreading into the suburbs, they have resorted to selling their homes - but realtors are struggling to offload them.

Photos by DailyMail.com show how some of the most charming, trendy and expensive neighborhoods of the Pacific Northwest city are now overrun with tent cities crowding residential sidewalks and littered with trash.

The Democratic city has one of the most deserted downtowns in the United States as soaring crime rates and homelessness are scaring away both locals and tourists. But now the crisis has spread beyond the downtown area and into the quiet suburbs, forcing many to leave.

These homeless camps are now becoming a permanent fixture in the suburbs, with the city being forced to conduct sweeps on a regular basis.

The latest sweep took place a week ago as Portland's Rapid Response Bio-Clean team cleared out a large homeless camp at Southeast 80th Avenue and Rhine Street, according to KGW8.

The site - located at the corner of the South Tabor and the Foster-Powell neighborhoods - had been reported by residents countless times this summer, but nothing was ever done. Until now.

But it's a little too late for lifelong residents Bruce and Rebecca 'Becky' Philip who told DailyMail.com that they're 'done with Portland' due to the increasing number of homeless camps that have trickled into the suburbs from downtown.

'I've been here 65 years but I'm done,' Bruce Philip said. 'I'm done with Portland.'

Parts of the People’s Socialist Kakistocracy of Austin, TX, are looking like the sewer sludge of Portland, thanks to the Mayor and the City Council, and the shallow end of the gene pool that keeps electing them.

Drive by with water balloons full of something flammable. 30 seconds later someone tosses a cigarette.

Eugene was run over by pre Antifa 30 years ago. Portland let 14 year old heroine addicts take over downtown parks at that time. Portland was so pretty, before the cancer of the Left.

Exactly. You might get a buyer, but you will lose money on the sale.

Fortunately, I don't own a home there. 🙂

But they are not going to sell their home either. Probably even if it were listed at a greatly reduced price. But just maybe if enough of the residents joined together to file a class-action suit against each of the politicians, there might be some movement to do something. 🙂 Worth a shot I'd say.

I’m 99% sure the legalized hard drugs play a huge role.

To me, the picture is any one of the photos that show the small homeless shelters provided by the city. Any econ student can tell you that any good provided free is over-consumed. By building and providing those shelters, the city sent the message that, not only will you be tolerated here, we will provide free housing.

Sometimes, Karma starts at the ballot box.

Yeah...I left Eugene thirty years ago. It was definitely changing for the worse. The basement floor of the EMU was arguably the birthplace of Antifa.

It’s just Bizarre!

We’re in a suburb that’s fairly close to Philly, and I’m just imagining waking up one morning and there’s a tent and a bunch of stuff strewn all over on the verge between my house and the neighbors!

Some of those folks even have furniture, hotel carts, pet crates, coolers and various other sundries, and the tents look very nice!

On a side note — after reading BIPOC 3 or 4 times today, I finally looked it up. And I realized that I’m a BIPOC!! Who knew??

[Once they own everything, suddenly the rules change and the homeless are ‘disappeared’.]

Easy. The UFO came back for them.

Everything the liberals do about homelessness just enables more and more. To end homelessness, you have to make it harder, not easier.

I really hope these people stay away from Texas. They get what they deserve.

I met one person on my way to Florida who was fleeing Oregon for a coastal village in South Carolina. I met her while staying over in Tennessee. She originally was in Portland, but moved outside of it when it started going downhill. But then the rest of Oregon apparently started going downhill after pot was legalized. So she left. I told her, “Don’t bring Oregon with you, and you’ll be fine.”

Hopefully, these Portlanders won’t vote Dumb-O-Crat when settling in their new areas. If they are loyal Dumb-O-Crat voters, just like alcoholics, they must admit they have a problem before getting better.

As I understand it, a lot of Democrats have moved to Bend. Maybe there’s a connection.

Had a neighbor move from Portland 4 years ago. Sold his house for a pretty penny and paid for one here fully with the proceeds. Said he left because the crazies were taking over. Guess he saw what was coming before the rest.

Something flammable followed by a cause of ignition becomes a homicide. Better to fling something very bad smelling, like extract of skunk.

Did anyone use to watch the TV Series Grimm?

Detective Nick Burkhardt is a Homicide detective in the Portland Police Department, but he soon finds out that that’s not all he is. In fact, he’s descended from a line of guardians called Grimms, who are tasked with keeping the balance between our world and the supernatural world. The latter is home to a variety of mythological creatures inspired by both the Grimms’ fairy tales and other literary sources, and Detective Burkhardt must fight against them to protect and save humanity. 😋

I always wondered if there was more truth than fiction to that story, only the actual monsters there are human, and nothing more. I would have moved out from there long ago. The handwriting had been on the wall for many years as to what Portland would finally become.
