Is this the 70's again?

Killer bees, inflation, and a president now, who makes Jimmy Carter look good.

How do you not see a beehive in a tree? Asking for Florida Man.

Africanized bees only live in hot, tropical climates - they are now in Ohio?

Also - you can grow lemons in Ohio???

Glad the guy is surviving, but who counted the 20,000 bee stings?

Lemon tree very pretty and the lemon flower is sweet
But branches of the poor lemon are completely filled with bees

Another story said he ingested about thirty of the bees so they were stinging on the inside too.

Africanized bees have made it all the way to Ohio?

Poor guy. Glad he is alive. I’ve been attacked twice by swarms of normal bees/hornets/wasps whatever. Probably had a dozen or so stings. Not fun.

Ouch. That poor, poor man.

How horrific.

It’s bad enough being stung like that but to swallow some and get stung on the inside, too.

That is the stuff nightmares are made of.

She told Fox19 that hospital staff members were “suctioning” bees out of Bellamy through Sunday morning.

Ok, new-found respect for the US medical system. Not that many countries in the world where you can get BEES SUCKED OUT OF YOUR BODY and survive 20,000 STINGS.

Going to re-watch 'The Swarm' now.

“swallowed about three dozen of the buzzing insects”

Well, if he doesn’t recover, at least he took some of them with him.

Stung by 20,000 bees? Shoot. He should be next in line to win the lottery.

I had an acquaintance who had the misfortune of disturbing a hive while mowing grass on his lawn tractor. Happened in Oklahoma. Dead before EMT arrived.

It’s not “African killer bees”, it’s *African-ized* bees.

Trivia bit: Killer Bee honey is one of the tastiest honeys you can get. Instead of the pure amber color typical for honey, it is a red-amber color. It used to be stupidly expensive, but now the price is on par with normal honey.

The story contains no details as to how they got the bees off from him and got him down from the tree. It also does not say what happened to the bee’s. Did they stick around long enough to be terminated?

Evidently Killer Bees have been established in Ohio for several years but that information was deliberately hidden from the public. If Killer Bees can survive in Ohio, then they can survive anywhere.

Where else are they established? Inquiring minds want to know.

Being stung 20,000 times brought him out of a coma?
That’s great news!

I want to know who counted the bee stings and how could it happen to be 20K exactly?
