Dear TFT,
It’s been a week since I posted here to tell y’all of my medical issues and ask for prayers and help with new thread.
I’ve been waiting to update until I was sure what is happening is really happening.
I told you they did a lung procedure and took stuff out to culture. Well 4 days after leaving hospital I received a call from my pulmonologist. One of the cultures had grown a bacteria called Pseudomonas. And there was an antibiotic that would kill it. Tobramycin given via nebulizer. I’m on day 4 of treatment and it’s unbelievable! For the 1st time in 4 months I no longer feel sick. No more fevers after having one almost every day since June 1. It’s a miracle. I still have breathing issues, but am praying lungs will heal faster with the bacteria gone. I read that Pseudomonas has been found in many people with COVID pneumonia but is not often checked for because it doesn’t show up in blood stream if in the lungs. They have to go into the lungs to find it.
Anyway I will do new thread but will probably not do many pictures. Just bare minimum. My family and I are still trying to process this new reality. Everyone is amazed by God’s Grace to keep me alive this long and for the root cause to be discovered. I’m still somewhat gobsmacked by it all. I hope this encourages your hearts as it has ours. God is there and He hears our prayers!
