Long COVID may be one of many reasons why in a recession, labor paradoxically still remains scarce.
When the original strain of COVID-19 arrived in spring 2020, a pandemic soon swept the country.
By far most survived COVID. But hundreds of thousands did not. American deaths now number well over 1 million.
Amid the tragedy, there initially was some hope that the pernicious effects of the disease would all disappear upon recovery among the nearly 99 percent who survived the initial infection.
Vaccinations by late 2020 were promised to end the pandemic for good. But they did not. New mutant strains, while more infectious, were said to be less lethal, thus supposedly resulting in spreading natural immunity while causing fewer deaths from infection.
But that too was not quite so.
Instead, sometimes the original symptoms, sometimes frightening new ones, not only lingered after the acute phase, but were of increased morbidity.
Now two-and-a-half years after the onset of the pandemic, there may be more than 20 million Americans who have had are are still suffering from what is currently known as “long COVID”—a less acute version but one ultimately as debilitating.
Some pessimistic analyses suggest well over 4 million once-active Americans are now disabled from this often-ignored pandemic and out of the workforce.
Perhaps 10-30 percent of those originally infected with COVID-19 have some lingering symptoms six months to a year after the initial infection. And they are quite physically sick, desperate to get well, and certainly not crazy.
So far, no government Marshall plan exists to cure long COVID.
While we know the nature of the virus well by now, no one fathoms what causes long COVID’s overwhelming fatigue, flu-like symptoms, neuralgic impairment, cardiac and pulmonary damage, and an array of eerie problems from extended loss

And now some of these same people are doing gain of function work on the 1918 Spanish Flu virus. What could go wrong?

Seems the Globalists want the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse to ride
when did “long covid” first appear?
Not buying it, nope.
Pretty safe to say that SOME of that is the vaccine more than it is the virus. But they won't look into that.
Colds and Flu have been killing people forever. Usually old people, but sometimes young people. COVID-19 was a bad flu. We made it all much worse with the stupid lockdown, and then we poisoned much of the population with bad vaccines.
Oops.
I do not believe that COVID 19 causes cardiac damage from the studies and info I have read. Vaccines, yes, but actual COVID, no.
Stupid lockdowns and dumb orders like “don’t go outside” prevented people from getting fresh air and sunlight. Isolation causes mental strains that do not help the healing process nor does treating those infected like lepers.
Whereas covid kill mostly old people—long covid debilitates mostly the middle aged. Average age of long covid is 40. It hits females more than males.
You are going to post this crap without any comment? COVID is no worse than a flu and was used to choke out the world and crush freedom. You should be ashamed.
I have long COVID. It’s no joke. And I’m pure blood.
COVID was designed to debilitate and kill. It’s not a natural virus but a lab enhanced bio weapon.
“COVID is no worse than a flu”
How much does the Chinese government pay you to say that ???
How much do communist Democrats pay you to say that? Go hide in a hole like a chickenshit COVIDiot.
Right around the time when people stopped being scared sh*tless of "COVID". Need to keep the scam going, you know?
Allow me a personal observation, Victor. I enjoyed reading this ode to the Covid disaster, but although one million have died
with Covid, the number of deaths relegated solely to the virus is substantially less.
One must wonder, in a regular flu season, what the mortality numbers would look like if every death was scrutinized
for the presence of H1N1, avian, or swine flu?
Yet another reason for people to go on The Disability
I suspect also that they ran the PCR amplifications at a stupid high number simply to get their check from the Gov.
And the Gov. got what they paid for with another “COVID death”

Except it can randomly kill healthy people. My college roommate got it and the doctors told his family he was going to die days before he did. It destroyed his heart and lungs.
The guy who inspected our house got it and had a headache. His teenager got it and ended up in the hospital. My sister ended up in ICU. I never tested positive for it but might have had it.
Covis definitely can cause heart damage. They can read an EKG and predict whether you will survive. All vaccines carry that risk.
