A 17-year-old girl training with her twin sister for the Pennsylvania Army National Guard died after collapsing during an exercise, according to local news outlets.
The 1st Battalion 34th Infantry Regiment confirmed the death of PFC Alyssa Cahoon in a Facebook statement, saying she died Thursday "with her family by her bedside."
The regiment did not provide further details about her death.
According to local station WLTX, Cahoon collapsed on Aug. 20 during a physical training exercise at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. She was taken to the hospital where she died five days later.
Fort Jackson did not immediately return a request for comment.

I live a few miles from a small city in our state. It’s not a big city with the population being just around 120,000. Every dang day there is another one or two obituaries of some young person (usually male), who has passed away after a “sudden diagnosis of a deadly cancer” or a stroke, or just a “sudden death”. These are people in their 30s, 40s or early 50s.
This is something that has happened so seldom in the previous decades that a death of someone so young would make front page news of the local newspaper, with a “life” story of the deceased. Now, no one seems to notice.
How can people not notice?

We have actually have had a cooler than normal August in the south. Many people are commenting on the late August “fall” type weather and are worried we are going to have a early frost and cold winter. Yeah, it’s warm, but no where near near as hot and muggy as it usually is this time of year. We have actually had a cool breeze blowing in the mornings over the past few days.
Heat, humidity; sure risk of fainting or heat stroke. Witnessed a few heat strokes in training. They were taken to the hospital, rehydrated, and separated from the military but went on to live their civilian lives.
Having someone who's gone through physical exams and other fitness training prior to this deployment who then collapses and dies was a rare event before the mandates to take the Jim Jones Jab.

Nah. I know a few Army folks who were forced to put an unwanted needle in their arms. Are you keeping stats on vaccine deaths? Would be great to see that data.
Military training is a mans’ business. If it’s a lark or joyride, it’s not doing its job. It’s designed to prepare young men for the hardest, most dangerous and most contrary to human nature job there is. In some jobs there is a risk of harm; in war, deaths are an absolute certainty. You don’t get ready for it by being sensitive or compassionate or culturally aware. If you haven’t been there, you’ll never understand. If you have been there, it’s a life changing experience that you will carry with the rest of your life. It tests you and makes you strong if it doesn’t destroy you. It’s not for women or children, nor even for all men.
