Horrific Biden Consequence, 20 Million American Households Behind on Electricity Bills, Pending Shutoff
Conservative Treehouse ^ | 24Aug | Sundance

Long-term CTH readers might remember in 2014 when President Obama claimed U.S. families had been paying too little for electricity for too long. As soon as Joe Biden took office, he began implementing the Green New Deal energy policy that, (a) directly forces higher costs for energy; and (b) is now creating massive problems.

In July I noted my own electricity bill had jumped 28% in a single month. That bill was followed by another almost identical increase this month. A review of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for July [Data Here] shows that nationally the same thing is happening. The year-over-year electricity price has increased 15.2%. However, worse still, the July increase alone was 1.9%, which figures to an annualized rate of 22.8%.

How do you know?

Of course there will be some, but how do you know that the price of food, gas, property taxes and any other expenses haven’t put these people in a bind?

Not everyone is reckless with their money.

As I said, for many (not all).

I have several friends with massive debts, trying to keep up with the Jones’.

No, sell what you don’t need, stop buying new cars every three years, stop speculating on Bitcoin, buying the $4 Latte everyday, running up credit card debt. I have several friends this applies to. I stated this applies to many (not all). Some need financial assistance, no doubt about it.

I don't buy new cars every three years. In fact after driving for over 50 years I have purchase one new car. I don't speculating on Bitcoin. I don't drink coffee let alone $4 Lattes. I also pay off my credit card bill in full. I know how to live without wasting money.

I also don't tell people how to live, but I refuse to listen to complaints that they are cash poor. Not enough money? Work harder, work smarter and stop spending... we agree on that!

I can understand that, but I’m betting that this article is more for the folks that have been ‘getting by’.

Could of had a decent little life, then everything starts costing more.

So, until you know more about who is being affected, it’s a bit more than just changing spending habits. It’s all about CornPop and his puppet masters.

Well, you make a good point but not everyone can afford to invest 7-10k on a new AC or HVAC system.

This article isn’t about people’s spending habits. It’s about people being affected by massive inflation. Sure, there are some reckless folks out there, that don’t pay attention to the basics.

But, given the fact that everything is on the rise, I’m sure there are many that may have just been coasting along. Not rich. Not taking crazy vacations. Just living their lives and then WHAMMMMM!!!!!

CornPop and his handlers show up and start destroying the place.

Joe has been a disaster. He has been a disaster for 30+ years. The USA deserve what they get. Drown in hell USA. Break apart and reform. We can salvage 75%

with Republicans I won’t have to face 60 cents per kwh for YEARS ..... you have absolutely ZERO way of knowing that.

Not sure what you mean by “your Democrats”, but that ain’t me.

You can talk about the folks that President Trump has endorsed and how successful they’ve been in the primaries. And I hope EVERYONE of them wins.

But for every person backed by Pres Trump, the likes of Thune, Rubio, Scott’s, Graham, and the rest are still going to be there because the voters won’t look elsewhere.

And as long as the Senate continues to be the Boys Club it is. Not much of anything is going to change.

How many in Congress are barking about EVs being shoved down our throats? I can’t think of one.

All a show. Nothing but kabuki theater.

But, I will say this. I will be voting, happily, for Mike Collins in Georgia. Kemp and Raffensberger will not be getting my vote.

“Not sure what you mean by “your Democrats”, but that ain’t me.”

How many Republicans, RINOs or otherwise, vote for the 87,000 IRS Gunmen? Answer: ZERO

If you prefer Democrats winning in November elections, then you need to OWN UP to your preference.

Don’t worry, I’m sure the Dems will create another program to pay people’s utility bills.

They already have it. Low Income Energy Assistance Program. Helps low income people pay gas and electric bills.
