I joined this Forum some 22 years ago in my 20's as a young conservative/libertarian. Now around a half century old. Truly hope some young folks will carry the torch.

Started reading FR years ago, late ‘90s, as a mere yute, thanks to my dad who always had El Rushbo on in the car wherever we went.

Let’s just say I split my time between freerepublic and patriots.win, but always defer to freerepublic due to the domain knowledge that exists only here.

And I’m not over 50... yet.

Yeah Dr Robert Malone has a link to four articles there in his latest article. Supposed to be a mix of left/right or an attempt at liberal conservative as we know it from 30 years ago, that could agree on the basics. I haven’t read much but was following one of the authors, Matthew Crawford for a while on substack.

There’s a ton of 30 somethings that are well informed/educated and well written on substack and some are on unherd.

Joe Allen aka joebot typically takes deep dives and writes dark stuff about technocracy, AI etc but had a different kind of article today that shows a different set of author skills. You can tell he’s well read in the classics. https://joebot.substack.com/p/coughs-across-america He’s been on Bannon’s show a few times.

And Tessa Len aka Tessa Fights Robots is another. https://tessa.substack.com

All fairly young and their focus on their chosen subjects, focus, diligence, intelligence and efforts are something else. Most all are long form because they do deep dives.

All the FReepers that complain about videos taking too long compared to reading wouldn’t touch this stuff. They want the 3 minute read over the 20 minute video as do I but the 20 minute read is out of the question for them, even if well sourced.

Others will call some if it conspiracy theory but I think of it as possible future’s if the Left or globalists or technocrats get their way. It is all fully sourced so it is a possible outcome. Digital ID, social credit, man and machine melding via tech. Their desires are written and the tech is closer all the time. I don’t have time to read as much as I’d like. That’s why I quit following Matthew Crawford and others’ Rounding the earth substack. Long form with multi-part series.

FR demographic = not spring chickens anymore and more like hip_replacement

Yet they probably all love their new hips and knees while preferring the ole website. I know my older bro-in-law loves his new knees. I'll never be able to afford something like that which might explain some of the old guy snobby language I find here sometimes. Others are grumpy as hell though that might be the ones who can't afford those replacements.
