The age of accomplishment has given way to retaliatory hiring and magical thinking.
Decades ago, two high-achieving daughters of our friends got turned down for admission to medical school in Washington, D.C. because two minority applicants with far lower test scores were admitted to the school in their place. The girls were sad, angry, and disillusioned and without recourse. They had worked hard their entire young lives, being second-generation "white" Iranians with a superb work ethic passed on to them by their parents. The girls rose to the top of every challenge they encountered and were assured of entry into medical school by any decent standard of judgment. But they came up against an indecent standard of judgment; racism. The idea that hard work and achievement will get them there was shattered because less deserving applicants were given black privilege.
This story is replicated thousands of times around the country every day. Activists deliberately behave as though white people have all the advantages when it is really they who now have the advantage. And just so there is no misunderstanding, I do not for a moment believe that black Americans are intellectually inferior. You cannot listen to Thomas Sowell, Glenn Loury, Candace Owens, or Chloe Valdary (to name only a few) without knowing that. It is folly to elevate the less competent over the more competent. It is human nature for people to set hierarchies of preference because that is how we advance, by choosing the better. No serious person chooses the less qualified person over the best qualified person. That is a recipe for decline and mediocrity.
Blacks constitute 14% of the U.S. population but are overrepresented in TV and radio commercials. Black privilege can be seen on every TV drama series, such as Netflix's series Bridgerton,

I am not doubting this happens but in this case how did they know the minority students’ test scores? I would not think that is public knowledge.
Well, actually, if you wish to keep Blacks from gaining skills and knowledge, and becoming successful, this technique is highly effective. Don’t tell the libs you’re onto them....

They’re also over-represented in positions of authority at the local levels. Watching news coverage of various stories around the country, almost always, the mayor or police chief in a given municipality is black.
The engineering group I was part of at General Dynamics had a highly compensated black employee or HCBE. He was a nice guy. He spoke English as well as German, having been raised in a military family. Everybody liked him as an individual. But he had such a privileged position that he was allowed to do things like bill projects for time and overtime. I tracked him in and out of the building in the low thirty hours per week while billing over forty. When I addressed him directly, he called me a racist. Afterall, he had family responsibilities. I pointed out everyone working there had the same responsibilities and weren’t billing for hours when they weren’t working on the project. That was when he called me a racist because that generally ends an argument. I went to our boss, and he said, yes, he already knew about the mischarging and everyone above him knew but...black privilege. Therefore, nothing could be done because the contract gave the company incentives to have HCBE’s and he was the only one. That meant more award fee which meant more bonuses to the top management. I said, well, take him off my charge numbers. Couldn’t do that. I then wrote a phone number on my boss’ white board. He asked what that number was, and I told him it was the Pentagon’s report fraud number. The HBCE was taken off my charge number and put on an overhead number.
The rest of the crew, of course knew about the HBCE privilege and it was very damaging to every aspect of work and the company social experience. It probably didn’t do much for any other potential black employee as well.
A different company I worked for stopped hiring workers with disabilities as soon as Congress passed the Americans with disabilities bill. As I had interviewed someone I wanted to hire I was told that the risk of being sued by that person was just too high versus anything he might contribute. Giving someone extra privileges is not without hidden costs.
Or all/most couples are multiracial.
We used to live in SC where they had court ordered forced bussing at the public schools ...
My high achieving son was 11 and going to our very good local middle school when he was ‘chosen’ to be a token white boy at a school miles away ... 89% black 11% white
We had no way of changing the decision and he passed the good school every day on the bus ...
The academics were absent but they did spend a lot of money on their prizewinning marching band free uniforms and instruments .. They were the only middle school in America chosen to march in the first MLK Day parade in Atlanta while he was at the SC school ...
Until then my son had gone to a private Christian school since 4 yo kindergarten so he had a good jump on learning and I continued his education myself at home every night so he could keep up ... finances were such that there was no money for a private school ...
I say that to illustrate what happens to the white students who lose their place in school for a privileged black student ...
KarMarLar whined that she was bussed to a white school as though she was mistreated in the process but she benefitted while some white kid lost out like my son ...
Is it any wonder when much the same happened to my white grandchildren years later for the illegal alien children fleeing with their parents from that awful state Georgia with their new laws...July 1, 2007 Illegal aliens couldnt work in Georgia or get bennies from the govt so they came to TN ...
My grandchildren were to go home and wait until the school district got trailers from FEMA to accommodate them but I insisted they keep their already allotted and name labeled seats/desks in the school building itself or I would have the school superintendent’s job and see him go to prison ...

But in SC in the mid 80s there was no recourse ...

I have begun lately to count the number of commercials that have black people in them...Usually, there are 11-15 short commercials during commercial breaks...The number of blacks is generally 8-10 on these commercials...

Then you do not believe that black s are physically superior in many sports either? There are measurable differences between the races on many scales and intelligence is one of them.
The average IQ of American Blacks is 85. African Blacks is 70. Whites 100 and Orientals 110. The Sowells and others are at the high end of the bell curves;they are not in any way a measure of the average. Pick any one of the Black female mayors and that is the average.
To succeed in college one needs an IQ of 85 or above so 50% of the 40 million Blacks can theoretically make it, but to say that they should represent their percentage of population in admissions is false.
In my local hospital there are 700 accredited doctors. There are many orientals and Indian Indians; including 6 Patels. There is one Black and he’s from Jamaica.
We need to reward ability not numbers by race.

I’m mostly watching Korean dramas these days. I’ve seen two black people in the last two or three years.
The keywords are “without recourse”. The victims of discrimination have nowhere to turn. The government is deliberately and intentionally not enforcing that little thing in the Constitution that says that you will not discriminate on the basis of race.
One of the main reasons why America’s #1 certified victim group refuses to pull itself out of poverty is that it doesn’t gain anything by working hard. It doesn’t have to get good marks - it has points added to its score because of its race. It doesn’t have to be qualified for a job - there’s always a hard working individual who takes up the slack.
If it ever gets fired it can always claim that it’s due to discrimination.
It may not be public knowledge, but I think it can be found out by somebody in the know. All you have to do is see who made the cut and then have someone check the test scores of the individuals. Sometimes people even tell others their scores openly. It may have taken a little bit of time to find out, but it could be done. It could also be that the school was “proud” of admitting the students they chose.
