[T]he video shows a man armed with an assault-style rifle walk into the Norco Market at 816 Sixth Street, point the weapon at the owner, and order him to put his “hands in the air.”
Within just a few seconds, the owner steps behind a glass display and fires a shotgun at the suspect, who immediately runs out of the store screaming and shouting, “He shot my arm off!”
A second camera in the parking lot shows the suspect jump into a dark-colored BMW SUV with at least three accomplices, and then drive away.
It was unclear if, or how badly, the suspect was wounded.

4 buck is the real killer.
You’d think at that age they’d have clue. Or at least some experience.
00 buck is more like 9 or 12 .22 LR rounds hitting you at once.
Yup. Looked to me like his left wrist took the brunt of it (hand dangling as he ran).
I admit: I watched it >dozen times. ;-)
When you back in to park at a liquor store, with nobody else in the parking lot, you’re waving a red flag.
Shotguns are not the mythical “scattergun.”
At that distance the pellets probably spread less than six inches, so he could easily have missed.
If he had hit the cretin, the cretin would not have made it to the escape vehicle.
It appeared to me that the cretin left his gun behind, because he didn’t have it when he got in the car.

Of course, because the store owner “disarmed” the robber.

(The suspect said) “He shot my arm off!”
The store owner will now be charged for shooting an unarmed man.
Four suspects were later found at a hospital. One of the men “was suffering from a gunshot wound consistent with a shotgun blast,” according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The 23-year-old remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition and will be booked into jail after being released, officials said.
Unarmed man or one armed man?
A very good ending.
Most threatening perp gets shot — critical but stable condition.
All 3 other perps get caught. Lots of charges to go around — robbery, stolen car, stolen guns, possibly conspiracy. Although it is doubtful they have enough collective brain cells to conspire.
The men were identified as Justin Johnson, 22, of, Inglewood, Jamar Williams, 27, of Los Angeles and Davon Broadus, 24, of Las Vegas.
Comments at the link are great.
I figured they were sharing one brain cell. It would explain a lot.
Car was stolen.
Oh, stolen car. For some reason with just observing those few short seconds, all the nice clothes, weapons, it just didn’t look right rolling up to a stop&rob with a car load of gear and guns way more expensive than they’d ever get strong-arm robbing that place.
Either way, he’s not doing a five fingered discount now.
