Tucker Carlson has been accused of homophobia and being cruel after joking about changing the name of monkeypox.
On his Thursday night show, the Fox News host joked about the decision to change the name of the disease as cases continue to be concentrated among the gay community.
In early June, a group of scientists, many based in Africa, issued a position paper calling for a name change for the disease to avoid the negative impact it was having on people from different communities.
"We propose a novel classification of MPXV (Monkeypox Virus) that is non-discriminatory and non-stigmatizing and aligned with best practices in naming of infectious diseases in a way that minimizes unnecessary negative impacts on nations, geographic regions, economies and people and that considers the evolution and spread of the virus," the paper read.
Carlson also shared a clip from his show on his Twitter page, where he said that, due to a popular vote following a poll, monkeypox will now be known as "Schlong Covid."
"Monkeypox is about the coolest name for a disease, 'can't come today I've got the monkey,'" Carlson said.
"But they are changing the name because of racism or something. Well for once, we don't know who they are and we are not going to allow it.
"We are going to change the name this time, we are going to do it with the public's help because democracy is real.
"So we had a vote, there was no ballot harvesting, you can trust our counting and the new name for monkeypox is now officially, and we are declaring it, Schlong Covid.
"That won our audience election result with about 40 percent of the votes.
Other names that were offered in the vote included Hunter Hives, Midterm Variant and Adam Schiffilis.

That is hilarious, but...it makes my skin crawl.
In a normal situation, this would not generally be fodder for humor, but the Left has insisted on tilling the soil for this by populating inside their ideological boundaries with people like those whose faces are seen in that graphic.
It is insanity. I can hardly believe what has become of our country in my lifetime. I never thought this absurdity would happen so quickly.
A better term is “ homomisia” which refers to disgust with homosexuals and their antics.

Judging by how it seems to be spread, its an accurate description.
Here’s some advice. Notice how a lot of these diseases spread in “the gay community”? D’ya think that just might have something to do with having frequent unprotected promiscuous sex with strangers? That’s not a good idea. Gayness is not really the issue. Its the orgies and lack of condoms that are the disease vectors. Stop doing that and like magic, the period outbreaks of disease that plague them will stop happening.
Funny, no wonder the lefties are going woke berserk.

Ingredients:
4 cups whole milk
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
pinch of salt
Butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg to taste
Directions:
Preheat oven to broil. Lightly grease a 9″x13″ glass baking dish with cooking spray.
Using a large pan over medium-high heat, scald milk just until wisps of steam appear. Do not boil.
In a large bowl, add flour and salt. Add eggs and, using your hands, mix until consistency of coarse cornmeal.
When milk is scalded, gradually add flour mixture to milk, while stirring. When it gets to the consistency of a thick soup, remove from heat and pour into prepared baking pan. You may not have to use all the flour mixture.
Broil until golden brown. Remove and immediately serve onto a plate. Pat with gobs of butter, sprinkle with a good amount of sugar. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
If they say funny names for monkeypox is “homophobic”, that implies an admission that it’s a homo disease. Right?
