Vladimir Putin and his friends are making preparations to flee Russia should his army be defeated in Ukraine, according to a Telegram channel that claims to come from inside the Kremlin.
With his Donbas offensive stalling, Ukraine preparing to re-capture Kherson and his economy crumbling, the Russian dictator is 'aware of the possibility of a sharp change of mood in the country.'
Last week, the General SVR channel reported that the 69-year-old had suffered from 'severe nausea' overnight, with doctors at his bedside for around three hours. Following on from that report, they claim that 'Putin himself and his entourage are preparing plans for evacuation from Russia.'
It is thought that any plane carrying Putin and his family out of Russia would head to fellow dictatorship Syria, the nearest friendly state and whose leader, Bashar al-Assad, Putin bailed out in the Syrian civil war in 2015.
Any flight from Russia to Syria, however, would have to fly through the airspace of Turkey, a NATO member.
Were Turkey's strongman leader, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to refuse permission to the plane carrying Putin and his family to enter his airspace, it would effectively scupper the Russian tyrant's quickest and perhaps only getaway route.
Erdogan and Putin have a complex relationship, having been friends and enemies at various times over the past decade.
Iran is another regional power - and Western foe - that would be interested in Putin's fate.
'In principle, it is beneficial for Iran and Turkey to keep the Russian president in exile in reserve, using him, depending on the situation, as a lever or as a bargaining chip,' the channel states.
Although Turkey is a member of the Western military alliance, under Erdogan's leadership the country has cut its own diplomatic path in international relations.

Fun Jason Bourne type story.
Not sure I believe it. I cannot imagine Putin doing anything but being carried out on his shield.

The Daily Mail has claimed over the course of the war that Putin was dead and a body double had taken his place, that he has stomach, thyroid and blood cancer and Parkinson's.
The CIA director just renounced that propaganda and claimed Putin was "healthy".

Sounds like “Russian disinformation”, to use a now trite phrase. But if he runs I don’t think there is a safe place for him to hide.

I saw on a telegram channel that Joe Biden is suffering from alzheimer’s, gropes little girls, and needs his diaper changed every 2 hours.
Oh wait..... nevermind.

, according to a Telegram channel that claims to come from inside the Kremlin. But, the Russophobes here claim anyone doing that in Russia faces the same kind of treatment the J6 protesters are in this country. Doing that sort of thing from inside the Kremlin would surely result in treason charges.
So, you want us to believe someone inside the Kremlin is risking their life in order to post on a social media site?
That anyone would stupid enough to believe this is mind boggling.

......I think the U.S. should consider (lol, if it can find a current high ranking government person capable of thinking)
providing Putin with a small, 1 bedroom house on America’s largest military base, which I think is Eglin in Florida, in return for him spending 4 hours a day for the rest of his life being interrogated about all things Russian including ALL Russian military people and agents.

It is edited by Geordie Greig, who took over as editor in November 2018 from Paul Dacre, the editor since 1992. The Daily Mail’s parent company is DMGT, which owns newspapers including the Daily Mail, the Mail on Sunday, and The Metro. The chairman is Jonathan Harmsworth, 4th Viscount Rothermere, who inherited the media empire founded by his great-grandfather Harold and his brother Alfred a century earlier. Harold Sidney Harmsworth is also known to be an admirer of Mussolini and a supporter of Nazi Germany.

Funded by / Ownership
The Daily Mail’s parent company is Daily Mail, and General Trust or DMGT and its chairman are Jonathan Harmsworth. He inherited the media empire founded by his great-grandfather Harold Sidney Harmsworth. The Executive Committee is listed on their about page.
DMGT also publishes the Mail on Sunday and Metro titles. Besides journalism, DMGT includes risk management event organizations such as conferences, training sessions, seminars and is the largest shareholder in property portal Zoopla, sold to Silver Lake. The main revenue of the Daily Mail is digital advertising, print ads, and subscription fees. You can find their 2018 assets report here.
Analysis / Bias
The Daily Mail is a known supporter of the Conservatives. They are also one of the pro-Brexit tabloids. According to a Reuters article, the Daily Mail published a controversial headline in response to a Brexit Court ruling criticizing the judges by branding them as ‘enemies of the people.’ According to CNBC, the Daily Mail has also been criticized by Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales for publishing fake news articles and “hyped up” headlines and “mastered the art of running stories that aren’t true.” Further, CNBC reported that DMG media responded by saying, “DailyMail.com is the very antithesis of click-bait and hype headlines. We just tell stories better than anyone else.”
The Daily Mail tends to publish stories utilizing sensationalized headlines with emotionally loaded wordings such as “Woman, 63, ‘becomes PREGNANT in the mouth’ with baby squid after eating calamari”, which is a misleading headline. In 2017, Wikipedia banned the Daily Mail as an ‘unreliable’ source. When it comes to sourcing information, they use minimal hyperlinked sourcing and sourcing to themselves. Further, a Reuters institute survey found that 26% of respondents trust their news coverage and 47% do not, ranking them #11 in trust of the major UK news providers. In general, most stories favor the right; however, the Daily Mail will report either side of the story is sensational enough.

His monologue comparing himself to Peter the Great provides us with an interesting glimpse into his psyche. What we see there is very disturbing. His telling a youngster that “Russia knows no borders” shows us a very dangerous and evil man.
His physical health is probably much better than his mental health even if he is in a rapid physical decline.
