The GOP establishment isn’t stupid. There is no downside to letting Desantis run with these issues that will play well with the GOP base right now.
To me, Trump’s greatest appeal was that he didn’t need the damn job but pursued it anyway. DeSantis is a career political hack who has never worked outside government.

I wasn’t “meddling in Florida”. I wasn’t referring to DeSantis in the context of Florida, but in the context of the whole country as POTUS candidate. I think RD would make a fine POTUS judging by his governorship, and I’d vote for him in a heartbeat. But he’d have to win, and speech-making is important.
Bringing up Lee (who I despise) is like the old fourth grade argument, “I know you are but what am I?”

No prob. I’m 150% in for DeSantis when his time comes. Could be 2024 or 2028.
Another term in FL would be helpful both for FL and the USA. As the good guys migrate to FL it’ll make it an even better stronghold for the conservative movement in the future. RD is the reason they’re going there.

A Trump DeSantis would be a perfect team the democrats and media would love nothing more than to see them apart in the race.
They know if they team up the left has zero chance of a win and the bonus round is DeSantis could run for two terms for president after Trumps term is over.
It’s a fear the democrat party doesn’t even want to think about.
It would be a MAGA MAGA MAGA event to save America.

Always keep this in mind. It will not matter one bit if it is Trump or DeSantis. In 2024 whoever runs on the GOP side will get the Trump treatment.
There is no way out of that unless we make a way prior to that.

If Trump runs in 2024, I’ll vote for him. If Trump does not run, and DeSantis runs, I’ll vote for him. I won’t let anyone trick me into saying a negative word about either of these great men.Succinct and to the point. I’m really tired of the Trump vs. DeSantis skirmishes.
