What Greens don't get about volcanoes, oceans, and weather
American Thinker ^ | 26 Jul, 2022 | Viv Forbes

Earth's climate history is written in the rocks. The Greens don't seem to want to read that record.

Despite Green propaganda, recent Australian floods were not caused by coal, cattle, or cars. Weather is driven by winds; solar energy powers the winds and draws moisture for them from the oceans. These eternal natural rain-making processes have been aided recently by two extra factors.

Firstly, a big La Niña weather event in the Pacific Ocean has left warmer water closer to Australia.

Secondly, there is increased underwater volcanism in this region, as evidenced by the volcanic eruptions near Vanuatu.

Earth's climate history is written in the rocks. Anyone who cares to read that record will see that recurring Ice Ages, not global warming, pose the greatest threat to life on Earth. Even in today's warm Holocene Era, the Little Ice Age was a time of war, famine, and distress, whereas the Medieval Warm Period heralded a time of peace and plenty.

Earth's weather is driven by winds powered by convection currents, which get most of their energy from the sun.

Eastern Australia is currently under the influence a large La Niña event in the Pacific Ocean. These periodic ENSO (El Niño-Southern Oscillation) weather cycles are Earth's most significant short-term weather events and have been identified in Earth's climate as far back as 1525, well before the Model T Ford and the Watt steam engine.

The great El Niño of 1877–78 heralded China's Great Famine, brought droughts to Brazil and caused failures of the Nile floods and the Indian monsoon. Even the Titanic was an El Niño casualty when it met an iceberg blown far south by El Niño winds.

Democrats do understand the impact of all natural events, and especially that of the sun.

For them, it’s not about the climate changing or about global warming/global cooling; it’s about control.

They’ll lie, cheat, fabricate the science, all for their goal of control of the economy and people. Control vs real science. Democrats want to lie in order to control everything and everyone. It’s what communists do.

At one time I had read that volcanoes emit more carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases than all of mankind has emitted in our entire history. Whether that is true or not I do not know, but if true then we can see just how insane the global warmers are and it would be good to throw that in their faces on a regular basis. When i get time later i may research this.

I believe they have discovered that some of the melting in the Antarctic(?) is due to volcanoes...and not the atmosphere.

I had an old circa 1840 book naming the emissions by the volcanoes in the ocean.

I’ll bet we can find 100s of scientific articles saying the same.

Another “climate/weather” source would be the Farmer’s Almanac which began in 1792.

:: it’s about control ::

For many of the activists, at the local levels, it’s about MONEY.

How many of these fuscia-haired soi-bois have actual JOBS that let them wander in the streets shouting at prodeuctive Americans?
How do they eat?
Where do they sleep?
They have “no visible means of support” but they have expendable cash for things like, gender re-assignment surgery, whole-body tattoos and dermal-armor.

Welfare doesn’t pay for this and the small number of trust funds among them doesn’t either.
Who pays for their existence?

I only trust Climate Change articles written by Fauci and peer reviewed by Fauci.
After all, he IS “The Science”.

Just south of me there was a larger than normal snowfall over last winter.

Add a few days of warm weather in the spring and what do you get?

The THIRD 500 year flood since 1995 for Yellowstone River...

Here’s one that is NEVER DISCUSSED, but will pretty much wipe out half (or more) of humanity, should it happen again, this time with the world only using ‘green’ energy:

Another large volcanic blast, one that darkens the skies for a couple of years. Sunlight will be cut in half, and with that solar power is cut in half. Temperatures get colder, and winds die down, with less sunlight. Crop yields tank also, particularly without fertilizer.

And the above WILL HAPPEN, possibly soon. The Left, almost certainly, has considered it, and probably prays for it.

For example, see this:

How Much CO2 Does A Single Volcano Emit?

Exceprt:

We can measure the degassing of Mt. Etna extremely well, and find that it adds about 16,000 tons of CO2 to the atmosphere each day, or 5.8 million tons per year. This might not sound impressive, but it's only one volcano. Interestingly, it's not just smoking, actively erupting volcanoes that emit CO2, but seemingly inactive volcanoes around arcs and rift zones. Persistent degassing still occurs around a great number of volcanoes worldwide, on a continuous basis.

*
Add all of these up, and you get an estimate of around 645 million tons of CO2 per year.

I remember studies trying to show that higher rain fall cause more earthquakes, but has anyone seen studies trying to show increase volcanism causes weather patterns?

Are you saying this CO2 is the problem? It isn’t, but the other gases & things that emit from a volcano certainly could be. If a volcano emitted only CO2, I doubt we would even notice the difference. The green plants would, but what harm would there be from a volcano like that?
