When was the last time you took Alka Seltzer? I'm not talking about the cold and flu medicine, but the good old tried and true Alka Seltzer that's been around since 1931.
Yesterday I ate some nachos. With jalapenos. Lots of jalapenos. Used to be - this was not a problem with me. But today I've had a sour stomach and indigestation.
Plop plop, fizz fizz. Oh what a relief it is.
Taking two Alka Seltzer immediately solved my problem.
Sometimes (oftentimes) the old remedies work best.
Enjoy these old commercials you grew up with. The best commerical ever.
I usually keep some on hand along with BC powders.
For me, the old remedies are the best.
Oh my goodness 😂
Ahh, when commercials were fun. 👍
Yesterday as well. Sometimes it’s the only thing that works.
never. never used it.
upset stomach/gi tract
activated charcoal
later, probiotics
Good stuff and it works.
My sister sent be a big box from NY ( to Japan ) at my request a few years ago . I’ve taken them only a few times , though . Always worked for me . I wonder how long they are still good past the expiration date ? Mine expired 2 years ago !
That’s an upper G.I. hernia isn’t it? The kind that causes acid reflex to burp up back in your mouth. Not pleasant.
Where’d it go?
That’s funny about the burp. Maybe that was the ultimate indication that the baking soda worked.
Some believe that this occasional routine has multiple medical benefits.
Its a great product, but for serious old school acid indigestion, Tums is the old school product to choose. It is comes with a hangover, add old school aspirin. 2x325.
The famous Alma Seltzer jingle was written by Tom Dawes, a former member of the rock group The Cyrkle.
I’m a true believer in probiotics. What I found worked best for me was homemade sauerkraut. Haven’t had stomach problems since.

It’s lye. That’s where the pioneers got their lye to make soap.
I had no clue. I saw The Cyrkle perform "Red Rubber Ball" live in 1966 when they were an opening act for The Beatles.
That’s what I learned from my old granny. I think it can be good for headaches sometimes, too.
But the only thing that has given me indigestion in 5 decades has been, occasionally, corn chips...and even that only twice.
It dissolved? 🤔
