DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Taco Bell is being sued by two customers after they said a manager poured boiling hot water on them.
The lawsuit was filed on July 13 in Dallas County for the incident that took place on June 17. Brittany Davis and C.T. (a minor) both suffered severe burns and trauma when a Dallas Taco Bell manager poured boiling water on them as they tried to resolve an issue with their order.
According to the lawsuit, the $30 order was filled incompletely twice in the drive-thru. The lawsuit continues to say that when the two women went inside to fix their order, they were locked in the dining room.
The manager came from behind the counter and poured the hot water on the victims and as the victims tried to leave the locked dining room, the manager attempted to pour a second bucket of hot water on them, but they escaped.
As the victims went to their family in a car in the the parking lot, a Taco Bell employee came outside the front door, laughing, clapping and taunting the family.
According to their lawyer, Ben Crump, the two suffered deep, severe burns to large portions of their bodies. While being care flighted to Parkland Hospital, Davis started seizing. The lawsuit states Davis had 10 seizures.
C.T. was taken to another Dallas hospital.

People, especially fast food managers, don’t just assault people, unprovoked. I’ve only heard the “victims” story but I’m already leaning toward the taco guys side of things.
I’m glad that term is coming into common usage.
For those wondering about “BT”, it’s a shortened form of BT-1000, a term popularized by YouTube personality Tommy Sotomayor. Stands for Black Terminatrix-1000. You know the type. Tommy calls them out at every opportunity.
This appears to be a pretty specific claim: boiling water.
Do they actually BOIL water at Taco Bell? For what purpose?
Is there anything served at Taco Hell that requires the use of boiling water...?
LOL!!!
Great minds!
blacks have literally gotten away with away with riots, looting, burning killing, etc., the list goes on.
Non-liberal regressive pandering for black votes mollycoddled and overlook the black now common regular law breaking.
I thought the same thing: What was the source of multiple “buckets” of boiling water? I could see water from the hot tap’s being available, or even hot oil, but not buckets of boiling water.
Go behind the counter and all bets are off
Bet the ‘ladies’ were threatening the employees with violence for them to have called the police. If so the restaurant manager deserves an award for taking action to protect staff and customers.
Seriously DFW TV news channels are garbage. Some worse than others.
She got it from a sink faucet.
Watch the right side film you will see her get the water
I see someone said it came from the sink. I rarely watch videos.
C’est incroyable!
Thanks. That's all I need to know about this case.
C’est merde.
And another reason we need loser pays.
Going behind the counter of a fast food place should be treated the same as touching a stripper.
You will receive a thorough beatdown and get tossed out, and banned from the club for life.
They traded some burns for a large amount of money from taco bell.
I’m just wondering what kind of extra sauce packets they wanted and didn’t get before they went inside and “calmly, peacefully tried to correct the order.....”
The only thing missing from this is one or both of the women doing to poop-sling reach-around toss....
